Definitely subscribe, coach. I need your feedback. Think I'm ready for some amuetuer stuff?
@obrasdegraciacostarica1061Ай бұрын
So, I saw in your other comment that you train without a coach. I'm not sure how amateur fights work in the United States but here in Costa Rica you can't fight unless a coach with credentials for that brings you personally and corners you. But just from the experiences I've had, I have found that bag work alone isn't enough to judge. I've seen guys with back work that makes the pros look like goofballs but then when they actually fight somebody all that goes out the window. And then I've seen guys with poor bag etiquette Who knock heads when they get in there with someone else. So the best way to test yourself is to find a local gym where you can really polish up your skills . If you're not looking for that, then this commentary probably isn't what you want to hear but it's just what I've experienced personally and have found to be the best route. Especially since you get to test out how your style does against several different other styles . One thing is for sure you have that knockout power, and if you connect it could be lights out for the other guy. But a lot of guys nowadays have really crafted their defense game to receive big strikes on the glove in order to deliver a counter punch. So the advice I would give if you're not looking to join a gym is to start coming up with combos where you're including defensive movements that set up your big punch and to really make sure you cover up when you throw it. It's difficult to generate the same power when you have your hands glued to your head . But you can definitely do it through repetition. And it seems like you have a nice little set up there at your house where you can practice uppercuts and moving around the bag which looks really good @@stonecoldboxing981

@obrasdegraciacostarica1061 Thanks. I was thinking the same thing. I'm gonna have to get in my local gym kinda hard. I work 50 hours a week, but there are also a lot of "fight clubs" popping up like street beats scrapyard . I need one of those in my town St. Louis
@obrasdegraciacostarica1061Ай бұрын
not to say you couldnt hold your own.. you probably could and you might even knock someone out... but the best way to get good quickly and prepare to enter the amateur circuit is by sparring at 50% for rounds with lots of different guys and then go up 10% every round until your bangin at 80% power...all while having someone point out bad habits and giving drills to correct them. you dont grow as much if you just scrap 100% power and then leave... you need opponents that have emotional control and muscle control so you can focus on finding your errors and fixing them before getting into a competition or tornament. Also if you are taking this seriously, you want to have head gear, mouthpiece, cup etc... and try to take as little damage as possible so you can do it for years. You have the moves and the speed and power to be good at this no matter what so please do not misinterpret what I am advising... you truly could get very good in a short time if you had someone showing you how to perfect your technique and testing it on opponents weekly.. but as you said you have a crazy work week... i think you are a lot further along than most guys putting out videos from their garage.. you dance around the bag, you come up with good combos, lots of strength that coverts to punching power and many more good things to mentipn. I Am impressed all the way around

@@stonecoldboxing981 i subscribed. It's exciting to me to watch your videos and I will definitely be commenting if I think I have something good to say.
