I'm looking to use this engine in a project truck due to it's unique bore stroke ratio. I cannot find any data on how much fuel per hour it burns at its torque peak 1400-1600rpm.

I have 62 acres of certified organic ground and another 14 in transition. It looks like the elevator is in Forrest. Do they take organic consistently? I understand that Piper City has an organic elevator/CO-OP as well. I haven't looked into it yet though. My ground is rented and the tenant markets his own grain through his milling business. Cheers.
@FarmerPeter2 жыл бұрын
It is a completely organic grain elevator, so in that sense yes it is consistent. Piper City & Forrest elevators are kind of under the same wing.

Looks like you had pretty nice conditions for planting, many places were either too dry or too wet this spring. We were on the verge of being to wet in my area, but cultivating a field one day then planting it the next worked pretty good for me, got it to dry up enough to get a decent seed bed. Nice looking land you have there too by the way. Thanks for the video and good luck finishing planting

That's about how it was for us, we probably woulda ideally waited a day after cultivating but we wanted to plant asap. And thank you!

We were late to start planting in West TN this year. Started April 28th with most of our corn planted mid May. In a normal year we should be done planting by the end of April. I can't remember the last time we had a normal year though LOL.

Wow, you'd be done before we're usually started lol But end of May is usually the time we want to be done planting. I'm just really behind on videos!

Man that sounds sweet! We didn't overhaul cuz by the time we bought all the needed parts & had labor involved, it was just better to replace the whole motor

What I'd like to do if i was super rich is. Buy a 1486, put a magnum powershift transmission in it, put a larger motor in it, and extend the frame. Make it into what IH couldve been powerwise. They were nicely compact, but limited in power
@CheeseMiser2 жыл бұрын
Or make a 2+2 into a powershift
