wish you'd keep adding a spoken english description of what you mean when you say these fancy amateur math words: coefficient quotient (wtf?) bases product exponent pairs raised - which is numerator vs denominator? idk if this is c actually for non math genius nerds, but i was sent here bc i said i kept flunking prep algebra over and over bc i couldn't speak the notation language and it was totally anti intuitive and all rote so even if i memorized all the rules, there's was no logic to link them with except that they are rules and that doesn't work with my nonlinear brain that can't do algebra bc it's all rules and zero intuitive logic

what if its just (math students, take a systematic sample size n = 24 starting with student 5?)
@georgewoodbury
@georgewoodbury Жыл бұрын
Hi! You need to know the population size N, which was 800 in my example. Divide N by 24, and drop the decimal part to get your step size k. Start with 5 for the first student, then keep adding k to get your 2nd, 3rd, …

If k was 33.6 should we round it off to 34
@georgewoodbury
@georgewoodbury 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Kimberly - Always round down, to avoid going past the end of the list. So, 33.6 becomes 33.

Good, but no need to use test points when y by itself is > or < a given linear expression. If it's > then you shade above the line, if it's < then you shade below the line.
