Hello The gospel is the gospel of the kingdom! Jesus is going to return and set up the kingdom of God ON THE EARTH! God’s government ON THE EARTH! The Messiah died for his people! God resurrected the Messiah! The Messiah will resurrect his people at his coming! The destiny of the Messiah and his people is to be ON THE EARTH! The renewed restored earth! God also dwelling with them! Rev 21 Matt 24 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. Jesus said the Father is the only true God! John 17 3 And this is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.

45:28 “ if there is an answer for God’s purpose in election we see it in Romans 9. We see it most clearly in 1st Corinthians…” No! It is absolutely most clear in Rom 9:17. He alludes to it in 9:11 but gives us the bottom line answer to one of the greatest, most debated mysteries of all time, ‘why did God choose the Jews?’ in verse 17. And don’t get me wrong, 1st Corinthians is a great supporting verse but the ANSWER is in Rom 9:17. The reason why God chose the Jews was so that by displaying his power through them they would be an example of his majesty to the whole world. That’s his purpose of electing. Now, if you think that God only elects some people and not others you may not see Paul’s point. But that’s a bigger issue…

40:51 you said “before they were even born God chose Jacob.” And then you ask “why?” And this is where you go off track. You needed to ask “who?” If you ask why, you can end up with a theology that teaches Paul is declaring God only chooses one and not the other. But that is specifically what Paul is destroying. You needed to ask “who?” because when Paul says “she was told the elder will serve the younger” he’s teaching that the unbelieving Jews’ objection to Paul’s message that the Gentiles have now been included has them sounding like Esau. And if they’re being Esau then the Gentiles are now more like Jacob. (See end of Gal 4). And Paul is telling the unbelieving Jews, don’t you say the elder will serve the younger? Don’t you always say God loved Jacob but hated Esau?? What if, you unbelieving Jews, what if that’s true but YOU are the Esau?? How would you feel then? This is all a debate strategy of Paul. It’s almost sarcasm. Paul isn’t declaring a doctrine of election he’s destroying a doctrine of election. And you missed it starting in verse 3. You rightly go back to Exodus and see Paul alluding to himself as a modern Moses. But you fail to carry that thought out to its intended conclusion. How did the unbelieving Jews feel about Paul calling himself Moses? Can you imagine? Here is this, what they consider ex-Jew, telling them, the faithful Rabbis that he wishes he could be cut off from his supposed Messiah in order to save THEM! This would have been an incredible insult to them but we see it as thoroughly heartfelt, genuine compassion. Can you see the dichotomy? Paul goes on and does this same effect calling the Jews Sarah who laughed at God, Ishmael the child only of the flesh, Esau who despised his birthright, and even Pharaoh himself, all to trigger the unbelieving Jews into realizing the error of their ways. Paul isn’t setting up a doctrine of election, he’s murdering it.

No no no no. Unfortunately for you, you are making this argument. Paul is making the opposite argument. You’re trying to teach God chooses some and doesn’t choose others. Paul is teaching the opposite, that God chooses everyone. The Jews already taught that God only chose them. Paul has always ever been teaching that God did choose then but he chose the Gentiles also. God doesn’t not choose/not love anyone. Ephesians 1 and here in Romans 9 are the strongest examples of this. Paul is going through al of the OT texts and showing that all of the stories the Jews used to try to show God chose them and did not choose the Gentiles would now be reversed, if they were being used correctly in the first place. If God only chose Jacob and cast out Esau, then the Jews are now the Esau! Stop preaching that God only chooses some and doesn’t choose others, it’s blasphemous and gets Paul 100% wrong in Romans 9.
