The best episode ever is when Mr Peacock gets the keys to the executive bathroom. It literally makes me cry with laughter 😆 😂

I have come here to learn the lyrics of this theme tune because I *attempt* to sing it whenever I get in the lift but I always get the words wrong! 🎶

I was only around 7-8 years old when this was watched in our house. Drinking a cup of tea, with two biscuits, cake if we were lucky. My parents and two brothers in the living room. The music creates this empty, gnawing sensation in my stomach; a strange feeling of nostaliga. A fondness for the times that once were and a longing for them to return, knowing that they never will.

Too bad the concluding credits with the iconic and oh-so-very-catchy lyrics aren't included! I'm currently making my way through the show for the 1st time, taking my time as I don't want it to end too soon (I'm also a big fan of Croft & Perry's You Rang, M'Lord, and while I'd rate Beeching slightly lower than that comedy classic, it's still a very enjoyable "comfort food" of a show).

I just noticed that you don't actually see Arthur Ridley running across the field at the end until 0:52, when he literally comes out of nowhere. He's just edited into frame!

Well, well - a roll-call of the famous. Captain Cadbury (that troublemaker Prince), Doc Morrissey (Chest again), Young Mr Grace (You've all done very well), Arthur Perkins (Rentaghost), Denise Laroque (Communist Resistance) involved in the antics of a brass band!

I would have loved to have done that stage dance with my male friends at college. Perhaps we should have done it for our leaving assemblies when we left. That little dance looks so fun to do, especially the part where they wave their legs and stomp afterwards.
