I love that anytime a 4WD or a GT-R showed up, they always use Nakazato's theme, but each car gets a different version of the theme, letting us know that 4WD's really are Monsters on the road

The most emotional scene for me. The other guy is just like Takumi. By beating him, he proves worth. Shows that he is more than just a legend, a relic of the past. Makes his impact by showing his true skill. That's what those wings signify. I doubt if any piece of entertainment industry would ever come close to this beautiful metaphor.
