My Grandfather; Stuart Dunstan was a regular caller and listener into Macca’s Australia All Over for many years before he passed away in 2022. As a child i heard this song many a time at the breakfast table at my Grandparent’s place in Cairns on a Sunday morning. I never appreciated the lyrics until i listened just now. The hardships that the pearl divers went through in those days is just unfathomable. People of that generation had to work bloofy hard to make a little money to send back home and support their families. Was this song based on a true story? If so it is very sad to think that young man and his family.

My aunty Sharon told me the best dream she had when she got all groovy in her Farrar Faucet flicks & Flares with platform soles to see him live in concert. She loves Lionel very much & talks about him all the time. I did meet him a few times at Fat Freddies, The units on Inkerman i lived in as a baby, & uncle big hols on Williams Rd. Good memories ❤❤

The group Bee Gees was a wonderful group, who left us beautiful songs that we even hear with great nostalgia. Robin Gibb. Born in Douglas, Isle of Man, on December 22, 1949. He died in London, on May 20, 2012. He was a British singer, songwriter and musician. He was one of the founding members of the band Bee Gees. He was the brother of Barry Gibb, Andy Gibb and twin of Maurice Gibb. In 1970 he released his first solo album, Robin's Reign.
