Very well done. I'm on my third playthrough and I still think that phase 2 has some fatal inconsistencies for a boss that hits so hard and so fast. It's a type of boss you assume you're gonna get hit by eventually and always keep the HP at max to not get 2 shotted. The mix ups she can have on her fast strikes are worse than on the nameless puppet with even more damage. While she's epic in scale and appearance, I can't say that she's something I'd consider fair, unless you do use all the tools in your arsenal to plan for optimal damage and stagger. Thank the lord they let you return the lightning back on her.

i fought this shielded cactus the other day, once. and i did not do it again. i watched laxasia fights to get some ideas and parry tips and im honestly enjoying, but am just afraid to try it and spend probably more than a week before i take her down, just like Romeo, who scared me to play the game again for a couple of months. i would probably always panic especially with that long delays she does with most of her attacks. ill try to fight her tomorrow and try to learn her. this video is awesome and actually motivates me to fight her. pray for my sanity

......practice 🙃 if you go back and watch my first playthrough....I suck 😆 one thing that helped me is that I accepted that these games are intentionally designed to make you frustrated and trick you, make you feel cheated etc. But other than that it's practice. Most importantly, it's finding a playstyle that works for you! Most people get stuck and search "strongest build" or something, but even if the build is really good, it might not be good for YOU if it isn't your style. These games really thrive by letting you find whatever works for you!

I really wish there was a grindstone that increased damage to enemy weapons. the fact that you can phase skip by breaking her weapon is a neat detail but you would realistically never get this cause its so much faster to just whittle down her health

Actually everytime I fight her, with my playstyle, even if I'm simultaneously attacking her and parrying, I always break her weapon before draining her health 🤣 I think it's because my playstyle is just too passive. I still like your idea 😊

I truly do not understand how to parry in this game. People say hold the button longer it when I look at controller overlays is a quick press. But the person still have P in the blocking animation and still perfect parry

What are you waering that allows you to block without dropping HP ? Im new to the game and grinded a few hours and i mean HOURS on the few missions to farm enough points or well i believe enough to habe enough HP incase of screw ups etc. I would love to know since i am new

@TheReaperOfChess If I don't lose hp and you see an orange flash, it was a perfect guard. Otherwise, it was just a guard. I pinned a video that explains why it looks like i may just be holding the button 😂

As far as I know it's just this one! It's because they coded phase 1 to end if you break her weapon, and then in phase 2, you can parry her lightning back at her!

Ummm this was like my 5th playthrough I think? But I died to her a bunch on each playthrough 😂 I think I got this after 40 minutes of attempts on this playthrough!

Laxasia is special in that she is coded so that in phase 1, if you break her weapon with perfect guards, it will immediately trigger phase 2 regardless of the hp damage you deal!

I am able to block the attacks by using a perfect guard. Timing the button press just right prevents you from taking damage. I have upgraded using quartz so that I regain more health if I miss a perfect guard. I also have an amulet that slowly regenerates health over time.
