Just tradition, you cant see it but the bass drummer hit a sign outside the stadium and got back into formation

Hmm I didn't know they used to have it in rows of 6's instead of 7's. Does that mean that it used to only be pregame block that marched to the stadium? Where are the extra?

I never noticed that the Cymbal's hat is never taken off in all the other videos I watched before . Makes sense now that you think of it .
I know its been over 6 years but I happened to stumble across this video as you do KZbin surfing . One question about the intro: Why avoid anticipation ? Would anticipating what's coming next avoid hesitation ?
@grantdarnell43185 жыл бұрын
Chris Witmer it’s talking about the actual movement You shouldn’t move earlier than the count specifies If the drill starts on beat two, don’t start on 1 &

@tommyers90588 жыл бұрын
More likely the head or body! But the players are very very good. Rare. Cymbal edges are fairly tough. China cymbal edges are more usually more brittle, but not used at OSU except for unusual music.

First of all I’m not from Ohio. I live in Texas, but I do pay close attention to college bands having been a member of one some time ago. Traditions are the best things about college bands. The OSU maintains their traditions as well if not better than any. I respect that. But if it’s innovation that you’re looking for take a look at their halftime shows. There’s not a band from the 1950’s that could have learned a halftime show so complex. If you do I wish you luck riding the learning curve. You might end up in the ditch.
@YourAverageBikerBoi11 жыл бұрын
Hahah his name is alex calderone he is the only one who every gets to break formation. When they run in to the stadium he runs ahead and knocks on the door as an OSU tradition to " let them know the buck have arrived" :)
