Essa é a formação ideal do The Platters. Tendo Tony Williams como solista.

I loved my teen years and this group was a big part of it. Generally I miss this music and what it represents to me. Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy it again.
Слушаем этих ребят с удовольствием, жалко что они в 1962 г., разошлись, хорошие были времена, ❤Россия 2024 год.

Sonny till Willie Winfield Rudy West Nate Nelson and Tony Williams Were the top lead voices of all the groups every lead singer idolize them Tony sang just Ballards the other guys can do it all I have all the platters songs even when they were on the federal label when they first started out i am not saying he's a great one the other guys did it all slow sides and fast sides the kids love when you could step away from the mike sing up temple songs

I got ya beat. I remember, like it was yesterday, sitting in the back seat of my parents' car when I was 12 and the Platters' new song 'My Prayer' came on the car radio. 1956. None of us knew the name Tony Williams, just the Platters, but he deserved the same recognition any soloist got. He WAS the Platters. He had the greatest pop/R&B voice of that entire precious vocal group era.. I ran into an older Williams in the men's room of a concert in Brooklyn in the early 1980's. He could hardly sing anymore. But there he was, the great Tony Williams, taking a leak in the urinal next to mine, and he was drunk. Saddens me to this day! But I'm happy the Platters were so successful and that Williams got to shine. I wouldn't trade being young and growing up in those musical times for anything else.
