Wish people would stop trying to build out here with vast amounts of suburban type houses and city structure...none of the real residents want this...some shopping and stores is ok..but we don't need all the danm crappy people coming from giant cities and turning Mamvel into another one with tons of development. Because it will just turn into another crap town and loose nature and filled with the shit that pearland is becoming. I lived here for 49 years and don't want to loose what I grew up with turning into a major metropolitan nightmare of highways and crap. HOA and all that shit needs to go..don't want a tiny ass yard and neighbors all crammed up next to everyone. Eventually crime will go up and people from Houston going to move here and just ruins everything including ruining the natural aspect of nature here and preserving what should be kept serene.

My experience with the home we purchased has been nothing short of a disaster, and I strongly advise others to avoid making the same mistake. The lack of security is a major issue-my house was broken into and flooded. To make matters worse, there’s a massive stud poking out from the wall on the second floor, which was simply painted over rather than properly fixed. A friend of mine who purchased a home from DR Horton had his grading and yard drainage issues addressed immediately, but that was not the case here. The supposedly 'amazing' warranty turned out to be nearly useless, as it doesn’t cover critical issues like poor landscaping, which led to flooding in our side yard during the rainy season with no drainage to protect the foundation. Despite these issues being present when we moved in, we were constantly told they weren’t warrantable. I feel scammed, especially after signing a waiver that prevents the builder from correcting their mistakes. The company’s focus seems to be on building quickly with zero quality control, as the subcontractors clearly don’t care about the quality of their work. Our second-story carpet is missing padding in many areas, leading to popping sounds and dead spaces where there’s no support at all. I wouldn’t recommend this company or any of their homes-the warranty is terrible, and the construction quality is appalling. If you’re considering a new home, look elsewhere. The fact that DR Horton provides better warranties and customer service than Castle Rock speaks volumes.

I built a Highland Home. They’re only as good as the people they hire…and they’re willing to hire unskilled laborers. Anybody to built it in time to meet their sales goals. My neighborhood has Coventry, Trendmaker, and Toll. They all have issues. My neighbors post about it all the time on FB. However, in my experience Highland customer service was TERRIBLE. The sales person was great until I signed. You have to argue and fight to get things fixed. My windows were real tough to close and they argued it was normal lol. If they fix it, they’ll take shortcuts. My kitchen backsplash was redone 4 times. Master bathroom-tore down the whole thing and redone. That’s all I’ll say. Good luck!

Hello. Both builders are at the top of my list. I rate a builder by three things. 1. construction quality. 2. Value..what you get for your money. 3. Customer service....how well do they communicate and address issues throughout the construction and well past the purchase. If I were to choose one over the other, I would choose Highland. Perry Homes are one of my top favorite. I’ve built for a bunch of different companies in Houston and these are some of the best designed frames. We recently did 2 house frames for them on Meridiana pkwy and Inspiration way.

Post tension is a horrible option. I've seen many fail. An engineered slab considering the soil profile and plasticity is the only way to go.
