Congrats on 1k! I love/hate stitching on dark fabric, definitely prefer aida for the darker fabric as I find it easier on my eyes to stitch over 1 on the larger counts. But yes, not a fan of stuff aida. Picture this Plus and Zweigart tend to be soft. Big fan of the variegated Sulky! I’ve got so many I’ve bought and plan to use on samplers. Also love all the Barbara Anna stuff, I haven’t stitched any but I love the whimsical and distinct style she has. That dark blue fabric is gorgeous, I think there are a few patterns that aren’t as 310 heavy but I can see some fancy ladies on that piece. I’ve been eyeing a few cowboy/western themed projects, mainly as my city has a huuuuge rodeo/party in July which I don’t enjoy the crowds for but it could be fun to decorate for the kids. I’ll toss my hat in the ring for dinosaurs as my toddler is into then at the moment and we are working on the alphabet 😅

I loved getting a look at all of your Barbara Ana projects. I have only done one of her designs so far - Spellville was the first project that I ever stitched on linen! The dinosaur project is so cool. I have to find that pattern for sure. I feel you on the exercise thing - I just feel better when I do some kind of movement in the morning. It's so good for my mood! Steampunk Fox is my next-up Barbara Ana. I have to finish Light first. I'm doing her on black, so the colors are changed up. I just finished Witchy Dreams. Started her in 2020 (I stitch a lot but don't finish things quickly! 😂) I hadn't seen Deer Joy, it's lovely! I'm glad you're getting your energy back, it makes everything so. much. easier!

I am from Texas as well, I was born in San Antonio after my grandparents passed on I moved to Houston until I graduated from Barbara Jordan in 1986. Since then I lived in several states currently live in Philadelphia; soon I will be moving to Michigan. It’s good to see you stitch a lot of things I stitch.
