You did pretty well. 11/8 ain't easy. My only note is try using Moeller strokes for the cymbal hits so there's a more dynamic(RrRr) sound. I see you using mostly wrist in this and most the cymbal hits have a similar (RRRR) tone Otherwise, solid effort! Keep it up!

This is the first time i'm excited about a superman movie since superman returns. Cavil was ok, but I was never really over excited, he never had that "WOW" factor, he more played into the genre of what bulky muscular fast paced superhero action movies had become... I hope they don't mess this movie up, it has a lot riding on it, if it does well then we may finally see a move towards more story driven superhero movies for a change ( and more back stories to character please... ).

So I've always wanted a drum set...but wasnt allowed to learn any instruments growing up etc...what drum set would you recommend for a beginner?(Brand/cymbal brand)

Yamaha. Since you are a beginner, i would buy a kit with gear included (meaning cymbals, stands, etc.). Obviously the cymbals won't be top notch but it would be the easiest way to get going.

FishingForLife is right. They are very different, but if you give both a good listen you can hear similarities. Jesús tends to do crazy time signature stuff, so it's very hard to tell.
