These five steps are necessary to build resilience. In order to super exceed resilience, I can add a sixth step, transforming the disability to an over ability. You can grow having a condition, where you cannot read or see clearly with one eye. You train your good eye so that both eyes are 20/20, when used together. Further, you might be able to see what a normal person, without that condition, cannot see. Another example, you could be in an accident where you have ear nerve damage. Your hearing is impaired irreversibly, but you train your good ear to hear sounds that you could not hear before the accident, when both ears are used together. You might be able to hear what normal people cannot. It is a level above adaptation through conscious transformation.
