Hey again! I come to recommend another band that I recently been listening to. “Holy Name” is a rock band. I recommend you check out their 40 min video, they perform live called “Holy Name Initiation”. I’m really curious of your thoughts on this band… It’s 40 mins, but I like how they I guess put their whole album in one video, and I guess it’s a stage set up, a live performance with just the band, no audience. I find their sound really cool, and their lyric content totally is glorifying Yah. What threw me off at first was their image….you will see what I’m talking about if you decide to give them a watch. They got fruit tho! But you can correct me if I’m wrong 🙂 Oh yeah, one of the guitarist from Korn, “Bryan Head” is a feature In one of their songs in the video, and he is a Christian, he’s got a KZbin, and he has a video of his testimony. Also, I do have to mention, the band are orthodox Christians, and I read some things about orthodox Christianity that I totally disagree with as a Christian, and as someone who lives & breathes Father’s Word. So, I like to see your reaction, and your fruit detectors go to work 😂 My favorite songs in the 40 min album video is “Creed”, “Mr. Millstone”, “Meet me somewhere quiet”, & “fall on your knees”. You could only react to these songs if you want, although since the lyric content is important, it be cool to dissect their lyrics, especially cause they’re orthodox Christians. But your choice!

Hey! Thanks for reacting to my recommendation 😁 The old man in sneakers is to represent Yah, Jesus Christ. He’s training her to fight this spiritual warfare that we’re all going through, and the constant temptations we all have to resist. It does get hard to submit to Father at times when there is just too much going on outside of ourselves and within ourselves (spiritual warfare). And this video show cases that. Plus, it’s a perfect visual of how we, His children are led by Him to have a relationship with Him, to focus on Him. He trains us to resist evil, and prepares us to do His will, what He calls us to do for His name sake. And sometimes we get distracted, like how Lacey portrayed her focus being centered on evil/on a demon, that it was messing with her mind, and Yah comes through with His RIGHT HAND turning her focus to Him 🥺 I see this video as a perfect take on His children struggling with demons, temptation, the world, that they want to smash a guitar, scream, and break whatever has brought chaos into their lives. And that I think is what Lacey was showing us in this video, how the mess she made, the broken objects represent the things that brought chaos into her life, the idols she placed before Him, and with the strength of Yah, she’s knocking those pillars down, and rebuilding her house on a rock. That is what we all go through for sake of our Father, to have a relationship with Him. And here’s a bit from an article of Lacey Sturm speaking on this song. “It causes a mental health crisis when we’re trying to change the world, but we’re neglecting the life that’s within us. We’re not saving the world, and we’re losing ourselves in the process. We’re losing our life while we’re telling them to live.” For Lacey, the answer has become painfully, perfectly clear: “Die to your pride so you can live.” And this video does appear that there is pride in the music industry, really all industries. Since she was in flyleaf much longer, she’s probably recalling these times where as a Christian band in the music industry, there were probably struggles in this type of environment. They did win Grammies, and they were categorized as “rock” and not “Christian”, this was their decision so they could spread Jesus to unbelievers. I read a comment saying “they go to dark places to bring the light” and this commenter added how Lacey will have her bible with her and ready to speak His word to people, spreading the gospel. And maybe at times in her past, it was hard for her to do so. Especially being young and in the face of sinners trying to spread the love of our Savior, especially to headbangers who love satanic music, and the lifestyle. I can see being a Christian wanting to bring people to Jesus within this industry a struggle if we’re losing ourselves in the process. Like she said. And It does create chaos within our minds and hearts, pride can also creep in and we get carried away with it. And I think she and her band have learned how to maintain control, and stay firm in Father’s word (feet shod with the gospel of peace) and not be led astray by the industry, armored up in Yah’s armor. This is a process all non lukewarm Christian’s go through, and need to go through.

I am saddened by so many of the comments here regarding homosexuality. I can see that the Gnosticism and New Age secularism has definitely infiltrated the Church. So many use the word "spiritual" to try and describe true Bible believing Christianity. The word is a Gnostic/New Age infiltrate into Christianity. I am not living under a rock. I see how quickly everything is being turned on its head in this world. You shall not lie with a man as a man lies with a woman. It is written pretty much verbatim in Scripture. To not speak up when someone is sinning against God is to have the blood of their loss of Salvation on your own hands. We are told that if we keep silent, we will be judged for it by the Lord. If we speak up but the person continues to sin then we have done as we have been commanded. It isn't hatred that makes people want those in sin to change. It is LOVE for them and love for the Lord that we speak up. I heard exactly what the Pastor said and it wasn't in a judgmental or mean spirited way. I happen to agree with him. And we ARE called to judge- a righteous judgment. Test the spirits, test the prophets, test the fruits of one another. That is very important for discernment. It is very important to not be deceived. Satan is a master of chaos and deception. My prayers are that everyone come to walk with Jesus before they draw their last breath or He returns- whichever comes first. God Bless 🥰

The "robe" you object to is a modern take on both a 'smoking jacket ' and a more work friendly kimono. MITCH'S look very clean & classic. Kirsty's is a modern version of ancient Greek statues. Scott & Kevin are wearing classic men's wear looks and Matt is wearing a very fancy 'suit' based on a leisure suit. I believe that the visuals are to convey a timelessness of the message of this song. This group of incredibly talented people are equally dedicated to helping many causes/groups. They support many charities that specialize in children and animals. Seems to me that's the literal personification of 'love others & treat them as you would treat yourself'.

So is it not possible that those two lines are also metaphorical like the lines of the mountains and valleys? When I heard this song I immediately thought of the “enemies” being like demons and satan and our praise to God drowning them out. It seems these are the real enemies especially when it is a worship song? Just like you talked of the spiritual battle, it seems the only “enemy” that makes sense is satan and demons in this context. This is what I think but I am genuinely curious if it is a distasteful because I love this song, but I do want to know if there is only one meaning, or how the writer of the song meant it. Great video.

Could you react to “I Thank God” by house fire? It’s one of my favorite worship songs. As for my thoughts on the 2 lines about Praise being a “weapon” In the line where it was saying “My Praise is the weapon my enemies drown in” I don’t believe that it was meant in a way of “if I praise my enemies will drown and die” I think it was meant that when you praise you’re spiritual enemies (so the Devil and demons) will be flushed out of your life because you’re praising God and he will do the drowning of the devil and demons. And for the line that talks about how your praise is a shout that brings Jericho down, I don’t think they were literally meaning if you praise you can destroy a huge wall, it’s all metaphorical. I believe this is a really good song and to be honest, I think those two lines are my favorite lines in the song.

Whether you feel theh are sinning because who they are, just think, we all sin, even you. Anyway, to stop the video youre reviewing to stop ans bash them is un Christian like. You're judging.

Well, stopping the video for commentary is sort of the format... so I might keep doing that. :) As far as Jesus accepting people... where do you see that? Jesus receives all kinds, but transforms them. There's no one He leaves the same, not even me. I'm not judging in the sense of claiming to dismiss or punish someone based on their sin/life, but I am pointing out where the Bible calls us to something different. Following Jesus looks like dying to ourselves and being made new in Him. That's what He's done for me, and I believe he can do it for you, and PTX, and anyone else who would call Him LORD.

You base your life around a book written 2,000 years ago. A book mind you chronicling the alleged Life and times of Jesus Christ, however, there isn't a single author of any of the books of the Bible that lived in the time that Jesus allegedly lived. No one who ever wrote about Jesus actually met him. Also, there are many religions with many different gods, just because you found an imaginary friend that you've chosen to blindly cling to does not mean there are no other "gods". And when I say gods, I mean fictional characters who are invented by Rich and smarter people to control a dumb ignorant peasantry in a time before penicillin and indoor plumbing. Because in reality there is not one God. There is not many gods. There are no gods. I remember in the early 2000s there was a die hard group of people that actually believed that the movie The matrix was real and that we were all trapped and controlled in a simulation. As batshit crazy as those fucks were, it's no more or less crazy than gathering with your fellow mental patients in a special building once a week to sing songs and pray to the invisible Man in the sky. You guys love to make fun of Mormonism and Scientology and so many others. But in reality you're all the same level of absolute batshit insane. I mean you guys believe your savior was born of a woman who never had sex who gave birth to a child who walked on water fed thousands with two loaves and a fish then died and came back to life... And you have the nerve to think trans people are mentally ill?

Regarding the vocal ability: I believe God gives all sorts of amazing gifts. And those gifts are not always used to glorify Him. In this case, I agreed (in the video even) this rendition of the song is stunning and glorifies God. I have been made aware that all 5 members have a faith background/have claimed faith in Jesus. And within the faith, we are to hold each other accountable to the Word of God. I'm sorry if my comments came off as too judgmental. That's not my intent. I'm here to point out how the video (lyrics, band, imagery, etc) interacts with faith and the Bible. I'm making "judgment calls" regarding what I understand to be alignment with scripture, but I'm not judging them as far as deciding who they are or meting out some final proclamation against them.

Jesus never taught he was God Or the trinty it’s a literal paradox, God is one person. Can you show in the Bible where it says Jesus is God, or Jesus saying he is God? This verse makes sense
@itsbrianlucas
@itsbrianlucas 3 ай бұрын
Jesus definitely taught he was (is) God. It's why the Jewish leaders had him killed. The charge was blasphemy. If he wasn't claiming to be God, there was no reason for them to be upset. The Gospel of John shows Jesus to be God (in Jesus' own words and in the commentary of the Apostle who wrote it) on just about every page. Here are a few verses from just the first few chapters: John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 All things were created through him, and apart from him not one thing was created that has been created. [...the Word was God...] John 1:14-18 14 The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We observed his glory, the glory as the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 (John testified concerning him and exclaimed, “This was the one of whom I said, ‘The one coming after me ranks ahead of me, because he existed before me.’”) 16 Indeed, we have all received grace upon[j] grace from his fullness, 17 for the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God. The one and only Son, who is himself God and is at the Father’s side-he has revealed him. John 2:11 - after the miracle of water into wine at Cana. His glory revealed and his disciples believe. 2:16-17 - he speaks of God as his Father. Claims to be fulfilling prophecy. 2:19-22 - Jesus predicts his death and resurrection. John 3:14-21. The end of the discourse with Nicodemus is about Jesus being the Son of God, the Savior of the World for those who believe in his name. (something that cannot be claimed by any prophet or angel) John 3:36. Who but God can give eternal life? John 4:13-14. Jesus is the Living Water that springs up eternal life within those who believe in Him. John 5:14-47. Jesus is equal to the Father. The Pharisees want to kill him for that. In response, he doubles down and explains his divinity. BUT. As Jesus himself said: "46 For if you believed Moses, you would believe me, because he wrote about me. 47 But if you don’t believe what he wrote, how will you believe my words?” (John 5). It's right there. I even left out some that points to his divinity. That's only SOME of the verses from 5 chapters in John (which has 21 chapters). Not to mention the rest of the Bible. Conclusion: JESUS IS GOD.

@@itsbrianlucas very common misconception, he was killed for claiming to be the son of God (Luke 22:70) and the king of the Jews and in the very beginning of the gospel of Matthew he is also almost killed as a baby for being “the king of the Jews” (Matthew 2:2, Matthew 2:16)

@@itsbrianlucas John 1:1 is very conversational, It lacks the definite article so it can be translated as Diaglot NT, 1865 “In a beginning was the Word, and the Word was with the God, and a god was the Word.” Harwood, 1768, "and was himself a divine person" Newcome, 1808, "and the word was a god" Thompson, 1829, "the Logos was a god” Robert Harvey, D.D., 1931 "and the Logos was divine (a divine being)” But “divine” is most likely not the accurate translation. “ a god” or a deity And with John 1:3 It says, 'through him' the Greek word is 'dia', it denotes the channel. Example, water [creation] comes through water pipes [Jesus] Doesn’t say Jesus is the creator of the water, only the channel the water comes. Prov 8 calls Jesus the Master Worker. Jesus isn't the Creator, he is God's master worker, by which creation came about. Jesus is the divine being known as the Word, or God's Chief Spokesman I take this into consideration and is a high possibility but I believe in John 1:1 John was talking about Gods literal word, as we see it’s a parallel to Genesis 1:1 “ in the beginning”. But I believe this verse isn’t talking about Jesus but Gods literal word, When he spoke he created things. John uses personification in John 1:3. John. How would you explain John 20:17? Haha. Ok. There’s a link in the description to the full video where you can watch without my commentary. And I’m sorry I mentioned the option to purchase something. But I think Jesus wore sandals… 🤷‍♂️

It's creepy because you are PRETENDING that it is real. I say with respect and a beleiver in the principles you stand for, that it is creepy that you are PRETENDING to feed on his flesh and blood. Jesus was talking about his spirit. We MUST REMEMBER he was talking to people who found it culturally acceptable to stone people to death. Then go eat dinner. We need to evolve our "theology"

No one is pretending... Calling it pretending is being disrespectful, so it kinda comes off like, "no offense, but ... *proceeds to say offensive things*" There's nothing in the Gospels that implies Jesus has a purely spiritual meaning. He literally says to "do this in remembrance of me". The cultural context you mention is related to the OT laws...

@itsbrianlucas it is presenting. Your not actually eating his real body it's symbolic. So it's pretending. I did it for years. I think that the teaching of jesus as taught in the Bible is what we all need. May I ask you a question about your willingness to consider things? If there was hypothetically irrefutable evidence that humans as we are now have been mind controlled by a more advanced race, controlled through religion by using our tendencies against us. Maybe by adding a "worship gene" to us 200,000 years ago that makes us look to worship something outside of ourselves and not activate all of our "junk dna" would you consider it? If the answer is no your faith cannot be true. which isn't junk BTW. It's light and sound reception and transmission. Look up EPI genetics, Dr. Bruce Lipton taught us that beleif actually effects our genetics. Very fasinating. An alternative perspective may be that perhaps thats why the god of the old testimate didnt want adam and eat the fruit. Its really hard for people like myself to let go of the ideas of what we have been led to beleive. that the bible is talking about what we have been taught. However when we "AKNOWLEDGE reality" the evidence points to this being likly. The return of christ comes through us. There's alot of simple stuff the church outright refuses to acknowledge such as the word Jesus and the word amen. Where did those 2 come from? Zues and amen ra. The christ returns through us. We are the 144,000 warriors of the rainbow sealed in the forehead. We ARE the heros we have been waiting for. WE bring for the new Jerusalem

Good breakdown, however you didn't let her finish. I too am a beleiver that it is "satanic" in Christianity I find we teach that the devil can slither in to even the most sound places. I ask you to consider this "is it possible the catholic church has been infiltrated by evil?" To say not would be hypocritical to the ideas you aligned yourself with becoming a pastor. As a pastor you have a relationship with yashua. I ask you from an unbiased perspective to tell me you REALLY THINK DEEP DOWN yashua would support you taking "your symbolic breakdown" to the point where it IS a ritual FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF we are eating his flesh and drinking his blood..we do not worship the body. We worship the "spirit" of christ. Not the mortal body. The body of christ in flesh and blood was mortal and not to be worshiped. His flesh didn't "rise again" his spirit aka that which operated the flesh body showed back up from a "higher state of being" where the soul has learned its lessons and assembled to a higher realm. which we too shall acheive. As yashua said after all "you shall do these things and greater things" The devil wants you to worship the flesh for that which he can rule over is mortal. With the spirt of christ we can identify not with the mortal body. But the spirit that operates it. I am not the flesh. I am the light.

There's a lot here that's weird. Comes off as more gnostic than biblical. Maybe something to consider.

It does when a certain group tries to push him as white to justify their pillaging and murder of other people.

When crazy white supremacists try to claim he is white, and they’re trying to validate their bigotry, it matters. Also, it’s weird to just “recolor” an actual person. He was a fist century Jewish man. Definitely closer to brown.

I get a giggle when people call Christ white. He was Middle Eastern, therefore he was at least light brown at the lightest

That maybe true, many current inhabitants of areas are not the same people that lived there once before so you can't go by modern populations. All Pharoah's were red headed genetically test caucasian, less than 4% of the current inhabitants of Egypt are descendants of any pharaoh.
