I still go for '01 version... Hao on the remake is such a softie... I love the part how they wiped out the X-Laws, and eating Samashu.. Dying doesn't have meaning as well since they can revive them almost every single fight... The classic ending is much brutal, action packed, and savage villain..
@AzabeReviewsEN27 күн бұрын
I get where you're coming from, and to some extent, I agree! The 2001 version has a brutal and savage tone that makes it iconic. But I personally think the 2021 version stands out for two big reasons. First, it follows the manga's story more closely, letting us see the true narrative with all its depth. Second, it reveals the bigger picture: Hao isn't just a villain but someone fighting against the god figure in the story, which gives his journey a deeper layer. That said, I’m planning a video comparing the 2001 and 2021 anime vs the manga, focusing on their differences and how they align (or don’t) with the manga. Hope to see your thoughts in that video's comments too! Plus, I’d love your feedback on my newer content, where I’m really working on improving the voice acting and scripts.

Yeah what ?
@blight253929 күн бұрын
@AzabeReviewsEN Yeah as in you can tell that was the intent because of the tone. This is skin-line, world building, character announcement, portrayal of Noxonian's Kindred AND music video. Riot would always go all out things of this nature. Something like star guardians making a music video doesn't need to be perfect as does a character who is likely only getting this type of treatment once. She is the leader of a legion and the song is to feel the strength needed to lead. Alongside with Arcane releasing it's best to have similar voice actors for a smooth subconscious transition to the in-game voice aswell so you aren't hearing 3-4 different people. Having different sounding voice actors will always cause a disruption when identifying who that character is to you. The closer the actor the closer the character identity is while still reaching different audiences through varying sources of media. So Yeah

Did you check the video description or watch it fully? If not, let me clarify here-the video focuses only on Season 1 of Arcane, not both seasons. The script was actually written months before Season 2 was even released. Suicide and escaping the physical town isn't an escape to problems. And not every adult is a piece of shit, there also were sensible people wanting to help the characters and let them know they could rely on them (AKA Esemori's ex-gilfriend and the detective in charge of Yuuko's case). You can tell from the chapters Reiji, Gen and Chako escaped to Tokyo and Reiji called out Esemori for disappointing and disowning his mom he gave up on suicide and the idea of using Nagi as an escape, instead he chose to confront her mom and then reach Nagi, but as a human being, not as the shinigami he thought she was gonna take him away from his issues. In the end, the "town" the novelist was always referring to was the toxic environment the characters were living, AKA, their family, friends and acquaintances. Besides, it's not common for very dark and disturbing or soulcrushing stories to have happy endings, some of the Nippon Animation world masterpiece theater series, TMS adaption of the Sans Familie book (The child without home/Remi), Lord of the Rings and even blood on the tracks had quite dark and twisted plots, but their happy ends were some sort of release for their characters. Ryou said in one interview around vol. 8- the stories that helped her to keep going with life and move forward weren't precisely the happy ones, but the darkest ones instead. Basically the end was Reiji and the girl that was called Nagi becoming their own persons and choosing to live together, all because Reiji was the only one who actually cared for her by actually asking her true name after spending the entire series being puppets of almost the entire cast. Only Reiji will know her true name. The volume additional panels help understand better the context.

7:15 lmao this yassuke guy is crazy for recommending you this😭😭🤞 juujika no rokunin was hella interesting manga at start, I also didn't read the entire of it but I'm glad you'll make a video about it. you have a good commentary and editing, I'm sad that this is underrated. as for my recs I can see that you love those types of dark stories, so I'll give you the real challenge. read "the world is mine" if you haven't yet. it's just as brutal as juujika no rokunin, but in my opinion even worse because main characters' acts on innocents are not justified at all but are guided by unique message. it gets better I think only after 10 chapter when you're used to the artstyle and plot starts to plotting, but I'm still interested in your reaction to at least the very start of this manga. it's long and confusing, so it'll be normal if you drop it

@@AzabeReviewsEN It became worse because a lot of black girls also read this on webtoon. Even though this had been okay on Navier webtoon. It was not taken well by the other English speaking or reading audience. And honestly that episode was not well done. It had a weird way of bringing up race in S. Korea saying that black Neanderthal looking students abuse pure Korean students. I read it, it was a huge L for the writer. I think it is entirely removed from webtoon. But it's still being uploaded in the South Korean Navier site and other scanalation fan sites in English. And the character here shouldn't be racist because he is a part of the Teacher's Rights Protection Agency. And calling racial slur was not how they should have dealt with bullying. I actually liked their cult episode. It was badass.

@@Vinaya999 I see, I didn’t know all that background! I don’t think I’ve reached the part where the MC says the N-word-I remember a kid saying it, but not the main character. But I get why some people wouldn’t be okay with it.
