But now you have no trailer brakes. You have to unbolt the thing to restore normal brake operation.

The brakes are not even electrical. They are surge brakes when you back up it loads the brake that’s why you need to have the lockout for when you back up. Do not drive with the lockout on or your brakes won’t work.

Just bought my gladiator last week it only has 36 miles on it and I’ve already got it torn apart in my garage waiting for my lift kit to arrive this week mine looks just like yours I can’t wait to get the thing up in the air, watching your video gives me an idea what mines going to look like, yours looks awesome👍

@@gr8dfender742 It's the surge brake safety brake cable should your trailer come unhooked from your truck for any reason that cable will be pulled therefore applying the brakes so the trailer isn't whipping around behind your or flying down the road. Also this cable should be shorter than your safety chains. Just learned all this for my first trailer haul yesterday.

My block of wood is still working fine but had I known about yours first I would have bought it. Maybe try marketing this to tow truck companies as I first needed mine when my truck broke down and got towed 55 miles to home and then could not back it into our driveway.

Ended up getting a diesel RAM 2500 on a 5" lift and 37's. I was towing boats quite a bit at the gym. The jeep was a bit too underpowered IMO.

Is this a sport max tow package? I have a sport non max tow package and wanted to run 40’s eventually.

This was the Sport S package with the max tow correct! If I remember correct the max tow was just that the hitch came factory? 40's should be all good on the non max tow. Ahh shoot actually the gears might be a bit different too, check on that

Ehh hard to remember. 40 inch tires on the Mopar 2.5 lift. In my walkaround video you can compare it to my height. I'm 6'

How does it hold up towing your boat? Tow the boat up any steep inclines?

I actually don’t tow the boat with this unless it’s just around the marina. I wouldn’t trust this power plant to tow a 10K boat and trailer setup on a longer trip. But that’s just me.. would prefer a diesel with exhaust brake
