Just saw your add in the Jaguar Journal. What an awesome unit!! I hope it's a huge success. I'm converting my 72 XJ6 to an XJ12, and boy do I wish this V12 was in the budget. Wow. Cheers.

I'm reserving judgement until its dons. But my initial impression of the side profile was that its very 911-esque, I'd personally have just done a 2 door conversion and left the roof as is. But that opinion may change when its done. its not like they are especially rare or expensive to buy.

Look at a factory tour (KZbin Video) of Morgan Motor Cars ( in Wales), very much "every day" happenings in their shop, are the craftsmanship these blokes had to resurrect.

mother of god. fantastic. what i would give to return to the motherland and own some land and a rwd manual coupe with a socking great v12 in the front.
The Fiat X1/9 of the early seventies, was the first monocoque production car featuring a structural b-pillar that doubled as a rollover bar and "flying buttress". This feature was a key element of the 1968 prototype Autobianchi A112 it was based on, and has been a feature of mid engine cars since. I'm not sure if the b-pillar on the Jaguar contains a roll bar or not, but it's below the top of the driver's head, something can't be right.

Can we ever see the engine running and the car being driven and reviewed. The music and the fine video production is fine, but at the end of the day, it’s the sound of the engine and the Beauty of the car that really matters.

This is without a shadow of a doubt, one of the most magnificent revivals I have ever seen. I have always been obsessed with the Jaguar V12 engine, always been fascinated by the unicorn "DOHC" V12's and then to see not only have you chaps rebuilt and recomissioned an original for the most beautiful car that Jaguar ever built. Never would I have ever guessed, that at one point in my adult life, I'd be able to purchase one of these unicorn engines, turnkey!! Artwork and engineering combined. Outstanding work chaps, outstanding. I wish more understood what a magnificent creation this is you've achieved!!!

What gbox it mounted to ? Is this a high end kit car?
@BuildingTheLegend10 ай бұрын
Kit car?? The transaxle is an original ZF DS-1, as also fitted to the Mk1 GT40, with correct XJ13 ratios. The engine is an original prototype Jaguar V12 - the very first ever heard at Jaguar.

NO NO NO Invitation to Goodwood! It’s one of the, if not the premier vintage car race in the world and the entire premise is based on the history of each particular chassis and not the nameplate of the car! That is what keeps the price of these cars where they are at! It’s all about documentation of the chassis’s! It’s the same as priceless paintings, there is a reason there are brokers and people who are experts in particular types of cars just so they can verify that a chassis is what it’s supposed to be! There was a Trans Am Race car that was put up for auction at Barrett Jackson and the hammer fell at over $600K at the time but it was never sold because the seller (the guy who restored it) could not prove the car was what he said it was! I know this because I was the guy that blew the lid off this deal when I made a phone call while the auction was going on and told someone there that the car was a fake! Trust me it pissed a few guys off but it also made some people very happy as well! This happened about 20 years ago
