YES, YOU GET IT! Some people were complaining about Penelope asking for the kiss, but it's important to consider how low she felt and how brave she was to ask for what she wanted.

You see, despite all his fears and pretending and trying to be someone he's not, Colin has always longed for connection. Yeah he wanted to enjoy himself, but even when he was having a threesome (before the kiss) he hurried off to be with Pen. He had a blind spot, even has he was writing in his diary about longing for intimacy beyond the physical. He could not quite *see* Penelope that way. But all season that has been eroding away. Once he gathered the courage to speak, and learned she felt the same, his decision came almost immediately. He knew he wanted, needed to marry his best friend and spend the rest of his life with her. All he has ever dreamed of just came true, and he refused to let it go.

I just love that Polin is the cuties patooties couple but also the freaks on the sheets couple.

It's kind of poetic and heartbreaking that their first kiss is a revelation for Colin and a Good bye kiss for Pen.

I love "Polin"! Season 3, Episode 4 (carriage scene) was like the cherry on top of ice cream. The next season won't disappoint you either. 😜

Hi from a fellow ace person! Watching intimate scenes usually are okay for me (as long as I’m not watching with anyone else, not sure how I would feel filming my reaction 😂). This was one of the best intimate scenes I’ve watched. You really do see their friendship and respect for one another shine through. Your reactions are amazing. Love them. I do think Colin is demisexual. He can have sex with anyone, like we saw in episode 2 with the sex workers, but he’s not sexually attracted to them. I think that’s another reason Colin is freaking out since the kiss. This is the first time he’s been sexually attracted to anyone and he doesn’t know what to do with it since it’s Pen. She’s his friend, but he wants to kiss her more. He’s known her forever but wants her to be as consumed by him as he is of her. It’s like a ping pong ball bouncing around in his head. lol

I thought the same, the fact that he trusted her about the kiss ( that she wouldn't use it to trap him). And i lived how they did come back for more. Great review/reaction ! Rachel's rendition of Lucy Gray's 'The Hanging Tree' gives me chills also. Lucy Gray is a mercurial character, that is how Rachel is playing her. Between the book, the cast and the feel of this trailer I think this could be a really good movie, best of the bunch. The trick will be to somehow convey the essence of Snow's internal dialog to the audience. If they succeed, the ending will be quite poignant. Rachel Zegler is perfectly cast as Lucy Gray Baird who flirts with everybody, is 16 going on 35 according to the Dinklage character. She sings some songs from the book which one of the movie producers describes: ' “Rachel often would opt not to do playback, and just sing it live. Often, after they would call cut, people would just go bananas clapping!” Those live on-set vocals will be included in the final product - and there’s one scene in particular that Jacobson’s especially excited for: “The big finale moment…un-fucking-believable. Her voice is jaw-dropping.” '' I am very much looking forward to the movie and will see it in the theater, probably more than once.

I really liked this episode because it really captured that honeymoon period feeling. I also really liked how all of their friends were so supportive of Nick. And every time Nick doesn't come out, Charlie never has disappointment on his face. They are so good to each other.

I am so excited for this movie. I actually went out and bought another copy of the book with the actors on the cover, and I am currently reading it for the 3rd time. I also think the actors are perfect for the parts they are playing. My only complaint is that the movie is released when I am in Disney World for the opening of their Halloween Not-So-Scary weekend, and I will have to wait until I am home to watch it. or.....Hopefully on the plane ride back! Thanks for sharing....enjoyed your views on this book/trailer. ps. do you think June will be cut out?
