Your video inspired me yesterday to squeeze out the chords to this song. I would consider myself a beginner and I need a metronome bad. kzbin.infoDEyC8hwQkl8?si=u7i_2IV_fzBjw3Zp

What a great guitar lesson. Thank you for breaking this song down. I agree that it does the listener no good to play fast if they are not keeping up.

I absolutely love the concept of being the custodian of the instruments. They will, after all, be here when we are long gone and they deserve all the care we can provide them down the line for the next custodia. Wonerful! This has made my day.

It is totally impossible to play multiple parts simultaneously, and seemingly effortlessly. I used to be mesmerized by Joe Pass - but this is another level. Martin is untouchable. Not just the greatest guitarist but greatest ever musician.

Great guys, playing together is the real deal, try to put the theory in pratice learning good phrasing and steady rhythm. Nothing artificial or Ai but the real hand made stuff 😊

If I had the skills, the time and the money (in this order), I would surely try to attend, to learn something fron the best solo guitarist alive. Maybe, when I'm retired, I will have the time and the money. Still i will not have the skills, but maybe it will be not too late 😀.

Lovely tone on both instruments. They play so well together! Love the musical allusions or quotes -- like one from "The Third Man" theme around the 1:24 mark. Like all the great ones, these two giants could keep on improvising, without repeating themselves for hours. Deepest thanks for sharing such spontaneous brilliance on my favorite composer's most-recorded tune BLUE MOON. Richard Rodgers recalled that partner Larry Hart kept writing new lyrics for it whenever it was dropped from one Hollywood film, only to be added to another. The version we know and love was Number 4 or 5, I believe.

Recalling a magic night Chet Atkins introduced England/Scotland's Martin Taylor to an American Country TV audience of millions saying: "One of the most impressive guitarists . . . this young man has just too much technique to go around!" Mr. Taylor treated the musically-informed studio audience to his unparalled finger-style solo rendition (with the fastest imaginable bass line) of the Gershwins' I GOT RHYTHM. Still gives goosebumps to hear it, Lo these decades later. Really, is there anything you cannot find at KZbin, circa 2024? kzbin.info/www/bejne/fHyriKSEjs6VgK8
