Good thing my husband and I know how to separate everything after we eat at the restaurant. Same thing with stacking everything correctly without food in between the plates. We tried our best to help our server from working so hard.

I’m 16 and I’ve been a table busser for a year, so I have a few questions. When the servers ask me to do things for them like refill their drinks or run their food, do I have the authority to say no or is that in my job description? I don’t want to do extra work for people just because they don’t want to, but I also don’t want to say no if it’s part of my job.

I guess the busser’s responsibilities varies from restaurant to restaurant, I’m sure if you’re swamped with work you can say no

@@MonsieurEldritch yeah I’ve just had a lot of servers come up and ask me to do things for them and I’m young so I’m not sure whether or not what they’re asking me to do is in my job description or not

@@ma5terblaster88It really just depends, at my job I also work as a busser and you’re supposed to help the servers if they ask you for help.

Les gens mangent vraiment comme des cochons ! Il y en a partout, même par terre. Qu'est-ce que ça coûte de ramasser au moins sa serviette tombée à terre ? C'est un manque de respect total pour le personnel qui doit passer derrière. En tout cas, vous êtes extrêmement performant dans vôtre travail, bravo 👍

Pre bussing I see, alright I do the same thing too at my job. Everytime I ask the customers to see if they're done with their meals, they get very picky and makes them wanna think see if they done with their meals but if not they're still working on it so I just had to move on to start refilling the ice bins where the bartenders at, take the bus tubs to the kitchen to emptied them, bring them back behind the bar, refill the water glasses for the customers sometimes and start bussing the tables when the customers has got up and left.

Using paper towels are more sanitary than re-using towels, especially when you don't clean them after each table. But that is just me and getting stuff off the floor would be good too. But you are doing a great job with what you have. Just need to do better because speed isn't everything. People can get sick.

The speed in which you work. Weirdly this is so satisfying to watch. When you dropped all those dishes in the kitchen the first time and stacked them in neat. I was like wow.
