Second comment in three years? amazing evangelization tool. Perhaps if Jesus was truly present in the tabernacle in a conspicuous place in this "chapel" He would be more present in the lives of those at Georgetown from the priests down to the students. But hey centering on some nice woodwork and a thousand pipe organ tho - soo impressive - taught by Jesuits in the 60's - exchange student at Georgetown Prep. There seemed to be a war between the Jesuits who actually were Catholic and those who were nominally so - One could not be found now to be director of Catholic life now?

This Examen is definitely a help with my evening prayer. I don’t know if you get to read these comments but you have a great impact on how I end my day and get ready for the next. Even though your process is a taped video it still manages to help me because MY day is different EVERY day so your questions/suggestions are appropriate nonetheless. Thank you so much again for helping me with my relationship with Jesus. May God bless you. Elia

Thank you so much Father for this message. It's the first time I heard of this that, "the way St. Ignatius and the first companions saw themselves: as a communitas ad dispersionem - a community in dispersion. He reminds us that even though we are separate we remain united by what first drew us! God bless you and the Jesuits.

One of my favorite liturgical songs and, based as it is in the famous prayer of St. Ignatius Loyola, "very Jesuit" in its message of complete surrender of all things to God. (It's interesting to compare it to John Foley, S.J.'s "Take, Lord, Receive," based on the same prayer.) Well done, Georgetown University Music Ministry!

Is this also known as Lexia Divina?
@oscarbrockmeyer17732 жыл бұрын
no, lectio divina is another type of prayer, also called sacred reading. Imagination might take place while doing lectio divina, but not necessarily.

Rev. Steck, together with four other theologians, submitted a brief to the New York Court of Appeals asking for the release of Happy from the Bronx Zoo. Happy belongs to the Elephantidae family that are mammals, just like Homo sapiens. Their reason to free Happy is that it is "a particular kind of creature who God made to flourish in a particular way." Does Celia and her colleagues feel the same way about Homo sapiens fetus? Isn't the Homo sapiens fetus also a particular kind of creature who God made to flourish in a particular way?

How amazing & beautiful. I never knew this existed although I was an Adjunct Professor with the Center for Food & Nutrition Policy, The Ceres Forum founded by Gerald Gaull, MD 1996 to 1998 with an Intl. Conference led by the Late C. Everett Koop, Surgeon General of the United States. As we address God's Will for us to join our intellectual property to resist the Co-vid 19, I invite each of you to join me in prayers for miracles to build our own immune response to resist contracting this rampant virus who knows no boundaries.
