Anyone ever try tapping into that manifold, and welding a nut to turn it into a cleaning port and just screw bolt back in?? Just a thought since it’s so common!

I don't know my a$$ from a hole in the ground about the propane industry, but if the tank says it'll hold 20 lbs, it's probably designed to do so. It'd be a lawsuit and a half if it wasn't.

Dude ive been buying oil from Amazon for like $27 (good stuff), went to autozone and they wanted $41 for same thing. $41 is a total frikin rip off. Filters were about $5 more also. Never again.

Check the bottom stitches too to make sure there’s no rats nest but I’m sure you’ve figured this out by now as I see this video is 6 yrs old. I think I’m going to try and fix my machine now. 🤞🏻

If you pull/ slide the front throat plate out further than the pins on the rear one will raise up so you can slide the other throat plate off. I have similar sewing machine. Mine is different model but same zig zag stylist from 1950’s. Right now mine is off..not center sewing. Trying to find a repair video to clue me on fixing it myself. Yours is first I found that is near same machine as mine. Mine is not in a table and doesn’t have that knob at the base. It was a gift from my Mom when I was like ten yrs old. Thanks for this video! And happy sewing!

Congratulations to you and your family that’s awesome news! Thanks for posting this video, I was having a hard time figuring out if the trees closest to my house but based off what you stated I don’t believe they’re maple trees though the bark look similar your pictures, I believe the branches were not coming out evenly. It would be great if I find some on my land, maybe I’ll go in further on my land I might find some. That would be another fun family activity we can add to the list!

Imagine arguing with someone about how a 20lb tank, designed and named for the amount of propane a full bottle holds, can't hold 20lbs of propane!!! Some damn people are just too stupid to participate in society!

This is why I had to build a solar kiln. Oak just takes WAY too long to season. I love being able to dry it out in 60 days. I'm really glad you tested it properly this time. Much more reliable to crack the pieces open from the middle of the stack. I feel like the outside edge of you uncovered stack is probably the driest of the entire pile. Then covered outside, covered middle, uncovered middle. It's got to do with the direct sunlight I think.

Bo....You gotta open the firewood up to get a real moisture reading. Hell, my wood all reads below 15% if I just poke the outside of it. Open up to the middle of the log to find what the reading is at the deepest part. That is where the last moisture will be.

I keep my wood off the ground with block and 2x4 runners. I stack the wood and cover with old 5-V metal roofing I have, works great. Also, I have good sun and great air movement. Different areas around the country will have to do differently because of snow and rain conditions, I am in the SE USA.

LPS3 is expensive but it works. LPs 3 is wax like. It doesn’t stink and it won’t affect rubber and plastic. Apply several coats. It works.

I agree with you buddy! I worked there many years finally retired! Lowe’s will continue to charge those prices as long as the American consumer has any balance left on their credit card! The problem is not only the retailers but the consumers who are addicted to consumption! They can’t stop buying things! And if the 25%+ interest rates don’t slow them down, nothing will !

If you have a 5 gal. Propane tank, c'mon man, we all know to go to a local filling station. A lot of fuel stations can fill them. It's very affordable.
@fatboyrowing3 күн бұрын
Propane exchange charges a premium for convenience. Where I live, it’s much cheaper to fill a tank at my local hardware or camping store. However I didn’t know that I was also getting more fuel. Thanks for the tip!

Another good safety tool is a gutter vac. Make it out of central vacuum PVC, have an attachment for 2nd floor gutters and hook up to shop vac. Works a treat and can clean your gutters from the ground. Just doesn't work great with honey locust pods

Hey @oldsoulmillenial, video idea if you're interested. I've seen a lot of debate about bottom up vs top down fires. I think a good test would be a project farm style side by side test: cut some same length non pressure treated 4x4s, 3 pieces of newspaper rolled up, 1x4s ripped and cut to same size for kindling. Build top down and bottom up fires for a definitive comparison. See which lights and puts out heat first. Regards from PA

And as far as exposing them it's not new information I've known this for over a decade because somebody who's known it for many decades told me.... It has to do with the transit laws for mass transit of those tanks not just carrying a couple of them in your vehicle the 3/4 full rule was for the trucks carrying dozens of them
@ProjectRoadsideFaith3 күн бұрын
If it wasn't safe to put 20 lb in those tanks then they wouldn't do it at U-Haul or tractor supply

There's a reason it's rated for 20lbs. These tanks are also over engineered and they can absolutely handle the full 20lbs. It's silly how common this type of false information floats around.

We have to keep the shmutz out of our sap! I hope this turns out well. Thanks for sharing, and especially thanks for showing the bark comparisons of the different maples. Last April, a couple 16" diameter trees blew over on my property, so I processed them into about a cord and half of firewood. I don't recall if they had leaves yet, but I was told they were poplar. But now based on the bark, I think they're maple. Big difference in the fireplace. Thumbs up as usual.

It’s because the aerosol tube is made of plastic and it slow leaks over time cause it expands and contracts with cold and heat. It’s the same with the fire extinguishers that have the plastic. Nozzle on top even though the extinguisher is metal you can’t have one with any plastic. Wagste of money make sure it’s all metal.
