Obviously, go get a large catch can. It will fit under easy. Also, go get a cheap small tarp to put on the ground. Also, the MB oil is Mobil 1. I use the 5w30 esp Mobil 1 oil. Diesel is so grimey. I have to use a whole can of brakleen per oil change. I use an oem filter and copper gasket, too.

So I went ahead with the change using the kit. The fuel line out the bottom is the only thing different. That line now feeds from a spot about half-way up the housing so it doesn't need to be removed. So you will not need the 13/16th socket or the new plug receptacle in the kit. Also, be sure to wear PPE with safety glasses or goggles when removing the old filter because when it finally "pops" out the housing fuel goes everywhere. Ask me how I know...

Are ther 2 oil filters (regular and high pressure? or is that two fuel filters? I was told by mercedes dealer rep that sold me the van there was two oil filters and one was high pressure and the high pressure one gets changed much less frequently. I cant find any info on the 2nd high pressure oil filter.

Thank you brother for the very helpful video! When you tighten the filter cap how many turns and if a torque wrench how many clicks when tight? The video cut off before you were done tightening it

Every 10-15k because we drive OTR, and is better to prevent any damage. The book says every 20k but that’s too much. (This is my personal opinion)

Dude Walmart sells a gray 10 quart mop bucket fits under the van with room for your oil pan. It has a handle on it .I place the ten quart in a five gallon Lowe's bucket to transport to recycle.Thanks nice video.
