Hi. I had this running on a loop for couple past days. Was working on my own song at choral workshops and needed something for motivation during breaks. It rings close to my heart - that it is ok to write songs (about ponies or not). And truly, the hardest part of this year workshops was believing in myself. I have a very very old song of mine with very pompous lyrics. Up until leaving for the workshops I have not been fully decided to present this particular song or not. Surprisingly, nobody who heard the demo laughed or even commented on lyrics I wrote. It seems the enemy have been my indecisiveness all along. I haven't finished the song arrangement in time to present it, but, I'm going to, eventually. I will keep your piece at hand for inspiration, and maybe it can even teach me how to make backing chords for vocals. Thank you.

When I first listened to this album on the way home from Ciderfest, I wondered if there was a published story this went with, and then an idea popped into my head that's never gone away: this album as a full stage musical with extended fight scenes, in-between scenes to fill in the parts relegated to subtitles and youtube descriptions. Plus a fully choreographed Clash of Blades would be epic.

Had the privilege of hearing this at Ciderfest, Cyril told me he did the slap bass solo as a joke. Forest dug it tho. When I saw him go *S T U P I D* with that solo I about lost my mind. And then whirlwind just goes ham Timestamp: 3:05

After the magic returns, Hya and Nemm go on a worldwide campaign to the regions of Aetheria, convincing Sky King farmers to help the free folk with the newly refreshed land below and uniting the fighting forces of both side, now one people again. They spend years convincing nobles to share wealth, setting up places for their people to heal from the trauma of the 500 year war and building schools for the children of the free folk. While they tackle these issues, they build a house on their little island, spending their downtime there and enjoying each other peacefully. They share their cultures with each other, discovering more and more each day. Hya teaches Nemm to swim and Nemm teaches Hya how to fly, and finally they are free to be themselves.
@rebelbeats4122 ай бұрын
Fun Fact! Hya is taller than Nemm, which was a surprise for Nemm when they first met! Both Hya and Nemm are hippogriff-pegasus hybrids, which makes them taller than most around them! Hya often prefers her Sea Pony form being raised on a ship, and Nemm prefers her hippogriff form! The Sky King has most of the shard of the transformation pearl, and does not permit the use of them other than for costume jewelry for his court. Hya got her piece from her first supply ship raid, where a nobleman had been overseeing transport and has unfortunately brought his wife who Hya stole the pearl piece from.

Fun Fact! Hyacinth has trouble pronouncing Anemone's full name, so has opted to call her Nemm! Nemm hated the nickname at first, and started calling Hyacinth 'Hya' in retaliation (which just made Hya smile). At first they were just used to distract each other so they would make mistakes while sparring, but as they spent more time together on the island the names took on an endearing tone and became their default way of referring to each other!
@rebelbeats4122 ай бұрын
Fun fact! While Anemone rose through the ranks of the Sky King's Airforce as quick as lightning, Hyacinth was found as a child by the Pirate King and raised as his own! Because of this, Anemone's fighting style is as proper as the day is long and is deeply ingrained into her, while Hyacinth's is as wild as the King who raised her!
@rebelbeats4122 ай бұрын
Fun fact! Despite the war having gone on for nearly 500 years, neither side has tried to negotiate peace with one another for nearly as long. The pirate kings and queens of the past have the image of their starving people fueling an anger that demands action from them, while the sky kings and queens have been fortunate enough to stay further away from battle and the ground, causing them to not really know what happens to the citizens on the islands below. As such, people who break laws on the floating islands are cast to the sea islands as punishment, and are often radicalized to fight against the place they once came from. The thought of people they once knew attacking the supply ships that feed the sky islands people creates outrage amongst the sky citizens, causing many to join the sky king's airforce as a way to protect the land they love from these attacks.
