I hope this makes it to you Jennifer are you still Fallin do you think he shed his blood sugar you could send and still go to heaven the Torah still applies do you write your own lyrics if so what went wrong I’m a sinner nonetheless I’ve lived a life of debauchery but I’ve never been attracted to the same sex that’s always been the hardest thing for me to understand I have been discharged from the Marine Corps and married a girl from Okinawa Japan who betrayed me I knew all about Jesus but I never knew him and I just can’t understand how somebody like yourself can seem to have such a relationship through your songs and live the way you did it’s been a long time I was 25 years old and I have given my life to the Lord and I got into a relationship and it failed and I failed I am now 58 years old and I’ve only been clean since November 2022 I fell back into my life of sin crack cocaine and when I found out that you were when you came out as a lesbian my heart was broken I bought your first album when I was 25 between Glenwood Springs Colorado and Aspen at a little Christian store the album‘s name was Kansas and I found so much joy and admonition from your words and your music are you a girl who is gifted like you were I just don’t understand I just don’t understand I hope you are doing well and I hope that he has pierced your heart and you have given your life back to him your music still advised me today and I’ve been listening to your music now for the first time in over 20 years I swear I never listen to your music again but now that I’ve been clean again not for a very long time but I’m trying to get back to where I was with my savior I pray for you sister I pray that you come full circle and you found a good man and you for great children and that your gifts that he’s giving you go on them I hope to see you someday on the other side and meet you and maybe play guitar with you I had a severe crush on you and I hope to of met you someday but like I said when I found out things about you I was I was heartbroken like I was never heartbroken before the lyrics you wrote the lyrics you saying still to this day I can’t believe they were ripe with repentance and guilt and shame I love you sister I hope to meet you someday !amein

When I was an uncertain *cough* little boy, I was once told by a rather disgusting old man at my church that Jennifer Knapp and another, less-well-known Christian singer were "ugly" singers in that they were "pretty" when they weren't singing and "ugly" when they were. Now that I'm a lesbian with some measure of self-confidence who understands that beauty isn't just skin deep, I can safely say that Jennifer Knapp seems quite lovely in the context of the parasocial relationship, and looks absolutely glorious whether she is singing or not. I've been rediscovering her music, and her speech at the beginning is... complicated and kinda something I needed in my current moment.

You let her take over, sorry you have talent, she does not. Nobody wants to hear her, she has taken over, can't event hear your old tunes, pull it up its her tunes.i had to work to get your music up, all her and you, that I don't want to listen to. Almost gave up on you because of her.

I was at this concert. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Derek Webb wasn't there, correct? I see that old press about Overdressed stated that he would be touring with the band for the album, but I'm guessing he was busy with other projects at the time of this performance?

If you're burning in lust towards the same sex then you may be a reprobate. Scripture does address this, so I am not 100% sure when the line is crossed but it looks like homosexuality is one of the major signs of a reprobate.

As far as the concept of sin goes, I think it means missing the mark or making a mistake. I think that we are all learning what we need to learn and I will let the Universe or God or Goddess out what that consists of. Since we are actually animals, sex is the least of our sinning. I think lack of reverence for life and projecting our ideas onto others are mistakes that is destroying our world and our brothers and sisters on this beautiful earth.

I have to say I either think about God(dess) or myself when I hear this song. You go girl.

Jennifer Knapp -I pray regular that one day you'll be Jennifer Knapp and not Jennifer Knapp the gay chic. you'r a great singer songwriter and Kansas got me to you.I never knew you.But I love the more folksy stuff. Join the indie circle where the cool people are.we don't care. And I would love to hear you and amos lee lay one down. And please come to nyc. they have nothing on Nashville singer songwriter status but you can pep it up.

I don't think anyone will read this so it truly doesn't matter, but I have loved Jennifer since I first heard her voice. She could have sang about anything and I would have sang along all the same, but she sang Christian music, which I truly don't think she should give up, because under the "guise" of a CCM singer, she touched hearts and souls. Now that she is no longer accepted by those who profess to not throw stones because of the sin that we all have committed, is ironic (since Christianity by definition is about loving others as we would have them love us). I will judge Jennifer by a few criteria; the human that she is, the love that she sings about, be it human or divine and the power of her voice, because she is the embodiment of strength in a sad and divisive time where you are either far right or far left and we are supposed to judge those who are NOT like us and the way she carries herself. I am fascinated by her story because of the context of who she is, who she represents and how she carries herself despite what "they" say. One of my eternal favorites
