My absolute favorite call! So good, I got a 2nd! I have some glass and crystal for higher tones as well, but this is always my go to! Ever since I called in my first wild turkey with it 🦃🇺🇲👍 hooked on hunting them, and love calling

I'm only halfway through this video and already it's the best rope video I've seen on KZbin and I've been watching videos for weeks in an attempt to learn all about saddle hunting and one sticking Definitely worth a sub!

I wish i would have known about the schwabish hitch when i started saddle hunting. I like it way better than a prussic and might replace both my ropeman 1's.

How do these compare with the solitude bids and coat?
@DoItThenOutdoors
@DoItThenOutdoors 2 ай бұрын
Not really comparable. The puffy pant has no pockets or features. They are just an insulation layer. The solitude is feature rich. Puffy pant is warmer but I use them once I get to my location to stay warm then remove when moving.

Thank you, I am up in NH so very similar conditions to you in CT. I mainly hunt Upland Birds and waterfowl, but will get a few deer hunts per year. I am trying to build a versatile First Lite system, that can be use to for the marsh or tree stand. For whitetail, I currently run the catalyst system with the kiln and furnace base layers. I'm looking for an additional piece for those cold mornings in my stand or blind. Do you think these would work?
@DoItThenOutdoors
@DoItThenOutdoors 2 ай бұрын
@williamjohn3394 if you are ok with putting them on when you get to the stand. That’s how I use them and I am very happy. I just don’t walk through the woods in them

State land gets hit pretty hard but we have found success if you willing to put in the time to scout. Find the fresh sign and hunt it. Since the public land gets hit so hard it’s tough to hunt “historical” spots since the deer get pushed around. Right now look for acorns and a water source. It’s been dry this season so finding water could be a good starting point.

We got one buddy in SC and he can’t even find a deer on public land to determine if it’s less calm or not. 🤪

I’m an RI deer guy myself thinking of switching from a 3 blade fixed to this have you found it’s a good blood trail. This was. A perfect shot but I’ve heard single bevel 100gr can be droplets
@DoItThenOutdoors
@DoItThenOutdoors 2 ай бұрын
We have been using single bevel for a few years and yes there is less blood compared to a rage or other type head. I will say that the single bevel has produced better results when things don’t go as planned and you miss your mark. For me personally I won’t use anything else other than a single bevel from now on.

Our saddle has an adjustable belt and when I take it off I loosen it up so it’s easier to remove so technically I am tightening it every time I put it on. Same for leg loops

You seemed to be bothered that Metric exists. It' very strange Imperial is only "Standard" in the US and maybe two other countries out of 190+ countries. Metric is the standard of the World since it makes more mathematical and physics sense. In the US where life/death is on the line though then you find Metric by default and by law: US military for precision equipment, US airline industry for fuel measurements, aircraft design, and engines, US healthcare giving medicine, etc. Everyone in the US is using Imperial including me except where we need to be most serious then its metric. I was born and live in the US. Useful video. TY.

those "American living in America..." comments make you look off and a bit racist. While the content is very good, those unintended consequences of the American Comment can put people off. Just saying
