Takes me back to Lethal Weapon 3 at Georgia Tech. Anderson, Dennis Scott, and Brian Oliver

Dennis Scott was dropping three-pointers frequently with that beast early-to-mid nineties Orlando Magic team (Shaquille O'Neal, Penny Hardaway, Nick Anderson, etc.)...

People just don't know how good the 90's were. A team with Kenny Anderson, Petrovic, Chris Morris, Derrick Coleman, Mookie Blaylock and Sam Bowie, coached by legendary Chuck Daly was barely into the playoffs...3 Allstar caliber players. And they talk about expansion teams! yes those teams were at the bottom of the league but getting into the playoffs was hard

Especially because of the Michael Jordan-led Bulls' dominance during the nineties...Jordan stood in the way of a lot of great teams' and Hall of Fame players' championship aspirations i.e, Utah Jazz (Karl Malone, John Stockton), Phoenix Suns (Charles Barkley, Kevin Johnson), Orlando Magic (Shaquille O'Neal, Anfernee Hardaway), Houston Rockets (Hakeem Olajuwon, Kenny Smith), Indiana Pacers (Reggie Miller, Rik Smits), Golden State Warriors (Tim Hardaway, Chris Mullin), San Antonio Spurs (David Robinson, Sean Elliott), New York Knicks (Patrick Ewing, John Starks), Seattle Supersonics (Shawn Kemp, Gary Payton), Portland Trailblazers (Clyde Drexler, Cliff Robinson), Charlotte Hornets (Larry Johnson, Alonzo Mourning), Cleveland Cavaliers (Mark Price, Brad Daugherty), etc.

If you think that's impressive, you should have seen him at Malloy. Dude had the best handles I ever seen. Played against him once in a holiday tournament and he was virtually unstoppable.

Did you ever play against other NYC basketball legends from that era i.e, Jamal Mashburn, Chris Mullin, Anthony Cade, Lloyd Daniels, Adrian Autry, Derrick Phelps, Kenny Smith, Brian Reese, Mark Jackson, Rod Strickland, Malik Sealy, John Salley, Khalid Reeves, Kenny Hutchinson, Greg Boo Harvey, Richie Adams, Walter Berry, Ed Pickney, Jerry “Ice” Reynolds, Terrence Rencher, etc.?

@@SportsFYICompendium No, unfortunately only Kenny. I went to school on Long Island and he was the only one from my era. That's crazy you know all the NYC legends. I did meet Lloyd Daniels playing West 4th Summer League Rec. He was mad cool and I was really rooting for him to make it big in the league. Such a great guy and fun to watch. Thanks for the Kenny Anderson compilation- that brought back a lot of memories.

No three steps or palming of the ball

No carrying of the ball neither...unlike Allen Iverson, Jason Williams, Steve Francis, Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, etc. who were notorious for carrying/palming during their N.B.A./N.C.A.A. careers...

Kenny was unable to lead the Nets deeper into the N.B.A. Playoffs due to the following reasons: 1) inability to overcome more dominant Eastern Conference teams, i.e, Chicago Bulls (Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen), New York Knicks (Patrick Ewing, John Starks), Indiana Pacers (Reggie Miller, Rik Smits), Cleveland Cavaliers (Mark Price, Brad Daugherty), Orlando Magic (Shaquille O'Neal, Anfernee Hardaway) and Charlotte Hornets (Larry Johnson, Alonzo Mourning), 2) All-Star forward Derrick Coleman's attitude and being overweight problems, 3) sharpshooter Drazen Petrovic passing away in a car accident in 1993 and 4) N.Y. Knicks' John Starks fouled him and broke his left wrist causing him to miss the latter part of the 1993 N.B.A. season.

Anderson was at Georgia Tech between Mark Price's time and Stephon Marbury's time there....all three were legendary point guards in the N.C.A.A. and the N.B.A...
