Sorry I cannot get the app to work anymore. I also don't notice much of a difference between one and three, but my batteries are really low. Battery replacement is another problem, it's very hard to find them, they seem expensive and out of stock.

@Wheelchair-bear28 күн бұрын
I agree, and if you shoot it out nd want a new one, a gun Smith might charge 1/2 hour time to swap it. CZ is simply protecting themselves from idiots who do it wrong, get injured and start a lawsuit against CZ.
@jmkhenkaАй бұрын
Its the barrel lenght that slows it down, not the brake. The box probably has a 26" barrel and both 243 and 6 creed wants long barrels to get full speed as its quite alot of slow powder with a small bore to burn it in.
@Wheelchair-bear28 күн бұрын
I noticed about a 100 FPS increase in velocity when I took the brake off, same ammo, same time. This was new for me, I have noticed point of impact difference but not that significant of a difference in velocity

I read in a test on the 6.5 x 55 Swedish here in Australia, a long time ago the most accurate round was a 160 grain round nose, slower yes, but apparently being an ex military rifle the round nose suited the chamber better. I think noted gun writer Nick Harvey did the test and that is what he thought?
@Wheelchair-bearАй бұрын
I have heard that as well, I bought one of those military rounds at gun show, even though they are around nose they are a very very long bullet. I believe these rifles have a one in 7.8 twist, quite fast. I would like to load up some 156 gr. And see how it performs

Took a doe at 306 yds today with my 250AI...1 shot drop. There is almost no preceptable difference ballisticly between the 250 ackley and the 6.5 creed inside of 500 yds. Imho, have the best of the AI's 243AI, 250AI and 280AI. But i will eventually add to the collection, just unsure if i want to go smaller or larger. Ive entertained the 223AI as well as the 338-06AI but i have a 222 Rem Mag and an 8mm Rem Mag so idk what niche they would fill that i havent gotten pretty well covered

Nice! I thought a 6.5 x 55 AI would be sweet, should be close to a 6.5-284. A 22-250 AI, has been around for decades, I like that one over a 22 Creedmoor, although it's very similar.
@matthewbutcher2032 ай бұрын
@Wheelchair-bear I think you would be very satisfied with that round, I have a tika T3 in standard 6.5x55 and I ladder tested it with 140 gr amaxs just to see what speeds I could acomplish. I knew my twist wasn't fast enough, but simply for science. I used hodgdon superformance and went up by half grain increments, I won't tell you where I found pressure but I will tell u I was slightly over 3000 fps when it started cratering primers. It def. had potential! My personal hunting load for that round is the 125 gr partition at 3100 fps and I've never shot an animal twice with it. If you get the oppertunity to build an Ackley version you wont be dissapointed.

My BK Princess is about 20 years old… model PJE1006. I changed out the original ceramic catalytic combustor today. Yep, it gave me 20 years of service. It was still in perfect physical condition.. no cracks or crumbling. I’ll keep it as an emergency spare. I replaced the old one because it was obviously no longer working as it should… slow to heat, etc.. I run double wall stove pipe inside and Selkirk double wall stainless steel chimney pipe outside, with a Vacu-Stack chimney cap. There’s a Condor stack thermometer in the chimney pipe and a Condor catalytic thermometer on the stove. I burn well seasoned pine (NW Wyoming) and occasional oak which I bought 3 tons of in Wisconsin on a road trip. I light the fire by heating up the firebox with a combination of electric heat gun, fatwood kindling and sterno.

@Wheelchair-bear3 ай бұрын
We use the blower when it gets really cold it helps spread the heat throughout the house a little better. Otherwise even on low the sound is a little bit annoying. My neighbors use theirs all the time but they're stove is in the basement. Yes it was one of the more expensive stoves other than the European models. But one of the most efficient. Fires lasting up to 18 hours, with hardwood.

How many sqft is your home and where are ya located? Moving to northern Iowa and want to get maybe the princess to heat 1500 sqft house as primary heat source. If I had it on main floor would it be enough to keep pipes in basement from freezing?
@Wheelchair-bear3 ай бұрын
Southern Alberta Canada, the main floor is 1500 sq ft. where it is located. When it gets around-10° f we run the forced air, the basement gets pretty cold If you can circulate the air through a forced air system with firing up the heater, the Princes would heat the whole house. At 32° to 0 f, it heats the whole house

My neighbor has the same stove and they haven't ran their furnace since they got The blaze King, about 4 years ago. It is in the downstairs of an open plan bungalow, 1300 square feet on the main floor. And we have had some days where it got down to -40 °, some weeks where it was -10 Fahrenheit

I have always wanted a 6.5 by 55 Ackley improved, in a modern rifle. The problem is factory loads are only at 51,000 CIP with the Sweed (to accommodate the older m96 rifles) 63,000 CIP with the Creed. That is how the Creedmoor gets similar velocities with less case capacity. I prefer the Sweed
