In my opinion what made Christine Jorgensen so sensational, especially with the press. Is because she was the first passable transexual celebrity in America. People back in the 1950s were so shocked and bewildered that science could turn a man into a blonde bombshell. She was the Trans-Rita Hayworth.
@tula143310 күн бұрын
She was the real deal. Unlike what we see today which is straight male transvestic crossdressers in cheap wigs calling themselves “trans lesbians” while wearing erotic fetish chokers and knee highs.

My uncle was just telling me about how he and his friends would do this in the 70s out in the gravel pits of Northern Minnesota. Told me about a particularly funny time when his friend hit a jump on his bike and while midair, the entire front wheel flew off, and when he landed, the fork stuck directly into the dirt, sending him flying over the bars.

You'll also find Leslie Uggams playing an old woman in Deadpool, hardly recognizable though because her personality is so different from the character. One of my favorite people in show biz.

Fun fact: When the first working Tf came out a Felix the cat doll spinning on a record would play for 2 hours every day of course this was only a test but they accidentally broadcasted it and no one was actually supposed to watch and the only people who saw it were the ones who had a TV

In 1978 I lived in Sacramento and a college roommate of mine was Richard Wall. He came from a Western Pacific railroad family . His grandfather and father both worked for the WP and even Rich did for a short time during his college years. As a Rio Grande modeler, I was interested in this video because the scenes showing the freight train consist were representative of what would have been handed off to the D&RGW in Utah. I saw a lot of familiar 40' trailers (C&O, Southern, C&NW, N&W, and so on. Very cool!
