I had a whole one last weekend all to myself!!! Love them! However, she did not mention the sap in the fruit when you cut one open. Check out other videos where they show you how to avoid getting the sap from inside the fruit on your hands & knife. I just put rubber gloves on & had a wad of paper towel on hand!

Salaams. Wondering about cutting the mkate after it is done...do you let it cool completely before cutting? I find that mine crumbles when I cut the pieces soon after removing it from the pan. Thanks

I stumbled across your video as I was searching for images and uses of jackfruit. I've never eaten Jack fruit, but I saw a recipe for a "meatless" BBQ sandwich that used Jack fruit instead of pulled pork, beef, chicken, etc. Thank you for showing us a great option.

I found dried jackfruit at Costco. I tasted it, and it’s not too sweet, the flavor reminds me a mix between mango and pineapple. It’s delicious.

I'm from South Africa and we have an amazing white margarine called Wooden Spoon. I'm not sure if it's just an S.A product or available outside of S.A but it is the best. It's specifically for baking and icing. Great texture and white icing.
