Hamsters need at least 800 square inches of floor space this bin is too small even for a robo hamster and a flying saucer wheel is not really safe as hamster run so fast and then fly out the wheel which can cause injuries also the sand bath box it looks like it’s been used and you can see the pee stains as it hasn’t been treated hamsters can smell the urine from previous hamsters which can cause them to get stressed. They also need at least 7 to 8 inches of bedding so they can burrow in.

How did you make the cage a double wide or how did you connect them side by side with out the inner side walls?

Thank you for uploading this content, and the one previously before this. I'm wanting to do the same thing for our boy Broly. So far I've only found 3 people including you that have posted video's about doing it. I hope your both doing well.

I love my Thrive tank. One note, the things on top to put your wire through slide out, so if you don't need to put a wire in the top anymore, you can just slide the little tab back in and there's no longer a hole. You just have to somehow not lose it like I'm pretty sure I will. lol

I know this video is super old but I was looking to buy the furplast ferret tower the one behind you or the double ferret nation cage and I was curious your opinion on both cages! Like the pros and cons of each!

I know I am really late to the party, but always put silicone up against the edge of your foam that will keep water from getting in it and rotting, also for your first couple coats it’s better to buy a cheap one or 2 inch brush and just use that that way you don’t care to squish it into the holes

Did you put anything over the drylok after all your coats, I’m in the middle of a build myself for my crested gecko but it’s a rough texture, do you know of anyway I could make it smooth

I used drylock extreme. Drylock original has a gritty texture, but extreme has a smooth texture. You can always try a coat of extreme over what you've done so far
@dennis40leclaire712 ай бұрын
@@sillyoopy dry lock extreme is toxic to reptiles but the original is okay…… also the dry lock pigments are also toxic 😬

Hi, I was looking into buying that conversion kit. Id keep small geckos in it, like mourning gecko small. I’m a little worried about where the front lid closes (by the knob to open it). Is that flush? Or could something small space, even like fruit flies? I could add screen over the ventilation

Do you know if these parts are modular such that if were to buy a Ferret Nation add-on unit, I could swap parts and use the FN panels as the bottom unit and the Critter Nation panels I currently have as the top unit? I think the FN cage bars will work better for my screw-on food and water bowls. TIA.

I love this! My hedgehog is very sadly terminally ill right now. I’m really sad because I wanted to do a bio active setup for him this summer but he went and got cancer on me :( He is 5 years old tho so he’s a very old little guy. If I ever get another hedgehog I am doing a bioactive setup. I kept my lil guy on fleece his whole life and feel like he would’ve done better in a natural setup. My greatest regret with owning him is that I didn’t do a bioactive setup with him from the get go. I didn’t know about them when I got him tho and only learned about them a year ago.

Love maybe you could put some bathroom mats or some type of mat. At least for the 2nd and 3rd floor. And it’ll me easy to clean. It would kinda suck if we hand long nails walking / running /playing on the plastic. But still love it!
@rize2228 Жыл бұрын
Also on my second floor i have tonsss of blankets and they sleep in them more that any cube or hammocks etc. Soft and cozy more room to cuddle. Thrift shops are the best to get them get them deals lol. If it gets to messy just take the blankets outside and shake them.
@alastormarie9553 Жыл бұрын
I try staying on top of keeping my ferrets nails short and I’m check because they also like digging in soft hammocks and then getting stuck. Bath mats is a good idea. The fleece was getting to gross when someone was being lazy and decided to poop on the floor instead of in a litter box lol

It isn’t bioactive, I still spot clean myself. I just use the substrate as an extra form of enrichment ☺️
