Vibram doesn't CARE about it's customers. I spent $500 on product from Vibram, paid $30 for 2 day delivery and my package won't be here for a week because Vibram sat around for 4 days before they processed my order. I ordered a package from VIVOBAREFOOT later on the same day, paid for 2 day delivery and my package is here, because they know how to do business. When I tried to contact Vibram, there is absolutely no customer service available. These are the signs of a company that doesn't care about it's customers. I will not buy or do business with Vibram ever again.

I ordered $500 worth of product from vibram and paid for 2 day delivery. My package won't be delivered for a week. When I tried to contact Vibram, there was absolutely NO CUSTOMER SERVICE available to get a refund or answers. As an entrepreneur who works hard to serve my patients and customers, I find this awful. I ordered a package from VIVOBAREFOOT later on the same day, paid for 2 day shipping, and my package is here in time because VIVOBAREFOOT knows how to treat their customers. When someone orders and pays for an expedited package, they expedite it, where at Vibram they just sit there and take a week to process your order, even though you paid a ton to expedite it. The sure signs of a company that doesn't care about it's customers are all valid here: 1) you don't get what you paid for. 2) No customer service to help or respond to these issues. I won't be doing business with Vibram ever again.

My wading boots have vibram soles. The soles /heel include 12 pin size openings to screw in cleats to help grip onto moss covered rocks along the riverbed. These holes no longer hold the cleats. Is there a glue that will weld the hold close so the cleats will hold? Or is there a material that can be glued inside the hole so the cleats can be secured to the sole/heel

I stumbled across this video in 2024. I bought a pair of Vasque Sundowners in the spring of 1989, at the REI in Bellevue after destroying my feet hiking up Tiger Mountain in running shoes and cotton socks. I wore them for 20 years, then had both soles start coming off the boots while hiking across the Kilauea craters in 2011. They sat in a closet for a couple of years until I discovered Dave Page's cobbler shop in Ballard in around 2013. They repaired and cleaned the boots so they looked almost new, for a very reasonable price. I still have and use them, and hope his shop is still around in a decade when I may need them resoled again. It's a great business in this throwaway world.

I’ve been wearing various versions of Vibrim shoes for five years now! My first pair were the V trail that I used for hike, bike and even played Pickleball in them all over Hawaii. I picked up two more pair in Paris last year, the KSO EVO which I use for beach runs and workouts, and daily wear. And these, the V Run, which I wore 75% of the time in Paris, and I currently use for road runs and mountain biking. I even got a pair for my wife, which I had to convince her to wear (because she likes to be invisible), but after a full week of walking all over Paris, she was happy I did. I ended up here because I was doing research because we are going to Machu Picchu and I wanted to hear how others feel about wearing the V Run for hiking. I’ve owned a lot of various type of shoes in my life, from track shoes to dress shoes, and when people ask me how I like them, I say they are my favorite shoe ever! So Thank You ! Keep being OUTSTANDING ! Can’t wait to get the V-Alpha.

Does the v-run model have a fairly stiff rear heel? have you tried doing very powerful sprints? does the leg shift inside when running powerfully or is the fixation excellent??

Nice, Dustin! I started running in FF's in July of 2012. Bikilas were my first model. I'm now 60, and still do 95% of my running in them (Spyridon or V-Trail 2.0 models) as a long distance trail runner. My daughter joined me soon after I started wearing them. She was 12 at the time, leaving competitive gymnastics, and entering the world of track and cross-country running and racing. She's 24 now, and still running in them. I was a volunteer coach for the long distance track athletes while she was in high school, and focused my timing teaching running form. FF's were the training tool of choice for the kids. In 2015, my daughter and I ramped up our training, and ran our first Rim-2-Rim at the Grand Canyon, mid-Aug, and yes, wearing Spyridons. I turned 52 the day before, and she turned 16, the day of. We returned to celebrate our birthdays, by running R2R (we run it like an XC run. We don't use poles, and we don't walk the ups.... unless we are completely destroyed, which did happen a couple times!) in our FF, 5 years in a row. After that, I started running R2R twice a year (usually), and in '20, started running R2River at the end of May each year. My daughter joined me for her 6th, in '22, and I've now run it 12 times. I'm currently training for the upcoming Rim2River on May25th, and planning another 2 R2R's, mid-Aug, and early Oct. Looking forward to being back in the Canyon! If it's of interest, I have vids on the channel, including a series documenting my pair of HTO surgeries last year, where FF's were a key part of the healing/recovery/re-training in order to make it back to the Canyon for my 60th birthday, and another R2R.
