In July I was in a bike accident an 8 fractured ribs, and 7 ribs were plated withe MatrixRib system. I am wondering what type doctor do i need to see to do a follow up to see if everything is healing right. The trama surgeon that did my operation doesnt see post op patients long term. I am currently not in any significant pain. but the injured side feels and expands differently from the non injured side.

Thank you for wonderful lectures. I have a question. According to date of massive bleeding protocol first of all surgeons have to stop bleeding. But how to keep this protocol if the patient had a clinical death due to hemic hypoxia, and we can't make the empty heart beat ? Should we start give fluids?

I would be okay with giving fluids in this situation.

In Forensics; One problem I see with doctors is not knowing the way a bullet looks, Such as changes with time due to corrosion..etc Do they think..?Oh it's not a bullet..?I do not want too deal with it? Or are they wondering what happens too them ? If they take it out and produce evidence?, Are they thinking or implying too the patient, I heard something about this or that patient? Is that your version of an investigative technique? In medicine such as technique a form of abuse. Do they know corrosion and bone cells hide bullets? Removal of any bullet even from bone should be a simple procedure with minimal tissue loss too the patient. There should be no loop holes to jump through and the procedure should be affordable. Medical centers spend more money on M.R.I.'s too support scams Than they do X-rays for looking at bullets. There have even been cases where children have been killed because someone put them trough M.R.I. . Many children and adults in tennessee have to live with the affects of rifle fire for the rest of their life. I can see taking bullets out of bone becoming apart of homeopathic medicine. Tennessee is a state which imports it's health care and insurance from foreign nations Tennessee is also a state which allows doctors..etc..; Too refuse care for religious political personal or any reason. Tennessee has been an ongoing epicenter for the initial attacks on u.s. soil of the, Ongoing persian gulf war. Someone dose need to police medicine. All medical doctors should be trained and able too take out a bullet any time. Forensic nurses are not good enough. Laws legitimized Job placement and, Interrogation before any school, One bedrooms and family dwellings only for college students. Segregation between tribes and guns on campus. Education was less disturbed when students hunted after school and teachers had guns, Why are teachers educators and leaders usually foreign nationals? Try charging people for crimes and address criminal behavior with education and product safety. All education should be private undisturbed and payed for by the administration of the united states. Medical doctors and educators should be helping place students in job markets.

Hi there! Maybe this might be a bit of a misinformed question coming from a nursing student... So I apologize in advanced if the answer is obvious. If TXA is technically only indicated when patients are undergoing hyper-fibrinolysis, then why is it commonly used in the prehospital setting to reduce internal hemorrhage? Also, why do some patients exhibit hyper-fibrinolysis whilst others don't?

I'd like to know stuff that was obviously NOT discussed. I want to know more medical perspective. So let's say an elderly gentleman is dying in ICU. He's not on a ventilator. He's not on advanced therapies such as ECMO, IABP. He's on a pulse oximeter, ECG monitor, and the ECG monitor incorperates Respiratory Monitoring. Let's say, this patient is an elderly gentleman dying due to Sepsis. His Vasopressors were removed a couple of hours ago. His family is there, by his side. The alarms have been turned down to a low volume. The pulse beep has been turned off. What are the most common end of life rhythms you would see in such a case? Like how often will yo see tachycardia go into V-Tach, then V-Fib to Asystole? What are some other rhythms, you might see in this patient, near death? Do you always see the agonal rhythm, right before Asystole? And does the Agonal come between V-Tach, and V-Fib, or does it come before the V-Tach? I want to know some common rhythms, you might see in these end of life cases.

My boyfriend of 18 years had a heart attack last April 18... after I did 12 minutes of C.P.R. the Medical Techs arrived did 30 minutes more of Advanced Lifesaving.. 4 epinephrine.. 4 shocks to the heart.. He was pronounced DEAD in our livingroom...covered with a sheet... I was waiting for the coroner.. dispatched ... on the way.. Two EMTs left waiting with me... The rest of the emergency crew packing their gear up preparing to leave my house.. I kissed him goodbye.. Walked around in shock looking for a bra to put on.. took my time... 10 minutes at least... At about 15 minutes, I asked If the EMTs would check my blood pressure I was starting to feel ill... When They asked me to sit down, I did... two feet from my "dead" boyfriend... Who was covered with a white sheet, head to toe.. Except one arm outstretched...the spot I kissed goodbye... Still warm... I have a 6 foot tall stuffed Jesus that I sat on to get my blood pressure checked... As I was explaining how My boyfriend had bought me this huge Jesus doll for my last birthday... And what an awesome man he truly was, My boyfriend started to "snore" from under the sheet.... The EMTs said "IT IS NORMAL"... to do this after death... I immediately went to his body and sat Indian style by his sheet covered head... I reached under and started rubbing his head.... I started repeating "I love you Donny" over and over... I got louder and louder... Suddenly He lifted his neck and his head still covered with the sheet.. lifted it so high that the 3 of us ALL saw him do this...I jumped to my feet after pulling the sheet off of his face and yelled and pointed at the EMT, " NOW, THAT'S NOT NORMAL"!!! The wide eyed EMT exclaimed, "NO.... IT'S NOT"!!!... One ran out the front door and all of the men packing up to leave ran back into my house.... They Threw him on a gurney and Ran back out to the ambulance... They then took off to the hospital.... He woke up one week later in ICU... He could read the Dr. Name tags and Dates from a newspaper... couldn't move or speak well.. 6 days later he checked himself out of the hospital and demanded me to take him home... Against Dr. Orders and Hospital wishes... He signed himself out.. We went home... He was a master mechanic..... And without any kind of Therapy, besides what I do with him.. The man is back to his mechanic work with the same company... He has some brain damage... But it is unnoticeable to those that don't know him well.. It is mostly his short term memory that is troubling him...He is also very mean at times now... It shows in his eyes... very different than his gentle kind personality he had before his heart attack... He is 100 percent Lazarus Phenomenon... Dr. agreed absolutely.. It has been 2 weeks short of ONE YEAR and the man is still alive and able to work his same profession... less hours... This is the most amazing and crazy experience I've ever been witness to... Its a gift... He needs to be one of the DOCUMENTED cases... thanks for listening Anyone who would like to know more PLEASE reach out to me... Medical Professionals who are interested in this... I would love your inquiries... Help me to get Donny Wehrlys amazing story into the medical books.... since there are so few cases documented.... Amanda Nielsen, Riverside California... After he was pronounced "DEAD", it was almost 20 min before his spontaneous breathing started...

Hello, Catholicism is a sin and leads to Hell Fire. Please, repent before it is too late. Christianity is a religion on its own. You are either a Christian or a Catholic. Catholics, Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses, Orthodoxes, Methodists, etc... are not Christians. They have beliefs, teachings and/or ideologies that are not in the Bible.

@@TedEhioghae If your comment was for me specifically, I know all about the Catholic Church ⛪... The fact that the pope speaks at Vatican Nervi Hall which is built to have the appearance of a serpent 🐍.... Also the horrific "resurrection" artwork that is on stage of Nervi Hall... I am not a fan... If you are going to make such statements to people you should inform about the details that I just did... That way people can understand that you aren't just being judgemental... Everyone should see the images of the VATICAN NERVI HALL where the POPE speaks... it is SHOCKING if you haven't seen it... It is the proof necessary to see that evil exists within the Catholic Church.. If anyone is Catholic and hasn't seen NERVI HALL and the Repulsive sculpture that the POPE speaks in front of.... Please.... LOOK IT UP... It is the most evil truth I have EVER had to wrap my head around... My Catholic family had never shown me this stuff... I was born again the day I learned of The Pope's Hall and saw the pictures myself... So TED, I hope that you have a great evening and realize that you should work on not being such an asshole.. when you are up on your spiritual high horse looking down.... 😉 If you care ..

Andrew Bernard, MD...All of you hypocrites - "pain specialists", "deciders of my own body and life", why don't you undergo what I have, 60 years of spinal stenosis and SEVEN MAJOR surgeries and tell ME how much better it is to stop opioids. Shame on all of you healthy people without chronic level #8 pain to live with for telling me and forcing to fit your one size fits all. Shame on you for doing me harm. Serious painful and psychological harm of constant fear of losing the only thing that helps, and YES - I do all the exercising I am supposed to per pain specialists and physical therapists, but although I may look strong, my sciatic nerves are in constant pain, my muscles and nerves in a constant state of scar tissue firing constant pain. You should go to jail for the harm you cause the huge number of chronic pain patients just trying to get trough another day.

Maybe you should ban free will to prevent suicides? How about gun safety classes and safe firearms handling taught in schools like in previous generations when this wasn't a problem. How is this guy Nance guy an expert? What does he know about firearms? When you turn to government for solutions expect a failure. Did you know there are 250,000 deaths annually due to medical malpractice.. roughly 6 times that of firearms .....?????? Maybe you should focus on that.
