Unclear. Did they produce ZZ Top? What album? And who is Lance Keltner?

That Exar mode is based on late 80s/early 90s Polish stomp box company's take on a TS type of pedal. Why Josh put it in the Bonsai? Well, imagine a late Soviet era country that still has US sanctions for enforcing the Martial Law, hence it can not produce guitar effects or has no access to modern electronic components. Yet somehow there are enthusiasts going to West Berlin to get instruments, amps, pedals and other equipment, including VCRs, walkmans, tape recorders and so on. With such a treasure and the schemes probably smuggled into the country, we ended up having THIS. In my opinion, that was one of the best sounding OD pedal on the market back in the day, plus it is a really good take on the famous green classic. Good to see you in a good shape, Lance. Greetings from Poland.

I watched videos by Lance, Greg V and Jimmy Burkard. Ended up getting a Cortez and also a Crema Wheat. Nice sounds. And a few Swarts such as STR Tweed with blue speaker.

This is an interesting pedal. I've seen some shootouts where they A/B it with a Klon and the Centavo actually sounds better. IIRC, it was Anderton's.

The maximum plate dissipation for a 6L6 is 23 watts. So 4-6L6’s shouldn’t even be able to give you 100 watts. Great-sounding amp!
@roycedot23 күн бұрын
6L6GC = ~30 watts *clean output power* in these circuits smh, different from plate dissipation, 135 watt ultra linear transformer, 500v plate voltage

With all due respect, you are a fantastic player, and the amp sounds great, but this is not cheap. It would be nice to have an amp tech remove the back so we can see the chassis, tubes, pots, wiring caps, etc. A boutique amp like Carr is a long-term investment and I want to really see how this amp is put together. But the playing was great.
@LanceKeltnerMusicАй бұрын
Understood. I generally do not take amps apart. Most builders are happy to share guy shots
