the closest thing we got to a b side album was the tour edition of X&Y, which packed all the b-sides in an extra disc, but those are rare nowadays and extremely pricey.

Mylo Xyloto is a decent album. At the time I didn't like it, but now I've been listening to it, I like most of the tracks except Paradise, which even has a nice intro, Princess of China and Every Teardrop is Waterfall. If it was more acoustic and less overproduced it would be better. Everyday Life has some good tracks, but they made some bad choices for the tracklist. I heard some tracks that were posted on the Coldplaying forum and were left off the album that are really good, like Famous Old Painters, for example. It could have been the return of the Old Coldplay.

"Real Emo" only consists of the dc Emotional Hardcore scene and the late 90's Screamo scene. What is known by "Midwest Emo" is nothing but Alternative Rock with questionable real emo influence. When people try to argue that bands like My Chemical Romance are not real emo, while saying that Sunny Day Real Estate is, I can't help not to cringe because they are just as fake emo as My Chemical Romance (plus the pretentiousness). Real emo sounds ENERGETIC, POWERFUL and somewhat HATEFUL. Fake emo is weak, self pity and a failed attempt to direct energy and emotion into music. Some examples of REAL EMO are Pg 99, Rites of Spring, Cap n Jazz (the only real emo band from the midwest scene) and Loma Prieta. Some examples of FAKE EMO are American Football, My Chemical Romance, Mineral and fuoricasa EMO BELONGS TO HARDCORE NOT TO INDIE, POP PUNK, ALT ROCK OR ANY OTHER MAINSTREAM GENRE

How could a band capable of writing so many amazing songs like this one (and we're talking about a b-side) could have ended up in a partnership with a k-pop band???? It's not that their newer songs are bad, they are actually fine. But this is exactly the goal of pop music: to be catchy and make you want to sing along with the chorus. But when I heard the songs of the early 00s Coldplay, it kind of makes me feel sad to think that they could have been soooo much bigger (as songwriters) than what they are now...

coldplay early albums were the best and they evolved changing their style slowly to please the masses or to please their own agenda but that's up to them i love the difference in style over the years but parachutes is the bomb
