One thing I learned about binge watching all seasons of NYPD Blue. If you are ever put into a lineup by the NYPD you do NOT want to be holding the " Number Three " placard in your hands. Whitneses almost always pick Number Three.

I don't know if this is a normal basis for paranoia, but it seems that paranoia would be a baseless fear of safety, subject to the circumstances. I still love the saying "Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you".
