The water has dried up. Does the water fill up again?
@jjperceval6 ай бұрын
No. The ocean only rises onces. It will never happen again. There are no such things as tides.

Darwin is a great city , but unfortunately the Australian military is the downfall of this beautiful city ,due to the attitude of the enlisted. Not wanting to live on the bases , has put pressure on the cost of accommodation for the normal people. Back in 2012 ,it cost $800 a week for a modest / ordinary 4 bedroom house in Palmerston ,when the government was subsidising military accommodation to the tune of $500 per week . So every greedy landlord was asking exorbitant rents. When the wet season comes along ( Nov - May ), half the town is transient due to seasonal work . Employers expect 12 months of scheduled work to be completed in 6 months due to the wet season , for pathetic money and high living costs. Can only advise to visit Darwin with 2 suitcases, so when you leave , jump on a plane and you're home , otherwise have a hefty wallet to drive home , if not you can become an economic prisoner of this beautiful city . Pitfalls are burning off season and Air Force planes taking off from Darwin International Airport ,causing sonic booms. Population ratios 4 men for 1 woman , where the ugliest of women can get laid . Some men have no scruples !

You don’t speak of the beautiful city I lived in for ten years. Loved the place and still do. All depends on where and how you lived I suppose. You obviously saw it from the arse end. Your comments suggest you have an atrocious attitude towards women. Yes indeed, in your own words, “Some men have no scruples!”

I used to live in Australia from early 2006 to late 2010. Has the activity of Aussies changed a lot recently? Aussies are known for going home early after the sun sets, and most of the shops would close at around 5 pm-6 pm. That was the norm in the years back when I was in Australia for nearly five years.
@letswalktogether12 жыл бұрын
Hi Hunter, thanks for your comment. I would say that it depends on the capital city, the season (i.e. summer or winter) and whether any live events or festivals are on. I know in Adelaide, retail shops close at 5pm and grocery stores such as Coles and Woolworths close at 7 pm. In Melbourne retail stores close at 5pm but grocery stores are open until midnight. In the summer you would have more people doing things after work but during the colder months not as much unless its a Friday or Saturday night.

Hi Katie All the restaurants are open. You just need to make a booking and scan in the QR code upon entry. They are quite full but each restaurant does social distancing.
