My recollections of The Eclipse are hazy, cus of the Doves obviously. But as I recall Sasha stood out from the likes of Grooverider, Ellis Dee or Top Buzz, who all had their followings. I was buying a lot of vinyl back then - still have it - and like many locals went over to Brum where Summit, Tempest and Don Christies all stocked different shades of Dance stuff. If you wanted Sasha's sets (and I did) then Summit was the place. Instead of scaffolding I spent many a Friday afternoon in there going thriugh the weeks stuff that had come in. I am certain I got that Todd Terry classic Just Make that Move in Summit - which I think got the biggest cheer at Elipse. Mind you as I say, its entirely possible that its just me thinking everyone liked the same tunes I did. My missus was with me back then, and still is now, and this is the stuff she loves.
