When the russian M-14 P engine came available to the west, Curtis Pitts made his design nr 12 for this engine. Type was later refined and modified by Kimbal company to HP (high performance). HP type only delivered as kits by them.

@@js1fairburn Nice helicopter, but very different performance from the first 350B to the B3. For mast erection we use only B3, B3+ or B3e (H-125) The so called Astar was the American built AS-350 with the Lycoming 101 engine (never used i Norway)

Hi, I'm re building a Jungster 1 in NZ. Did you have any issues with the 1" .035 wall elevator push pull tube? it seems ok but I'm just curious as to real world experience. Cheers Dom

You fly it nicely. Did it fly like a Jungmeister? What were it faults? Did you build it? Thanks Mike
@apiesbrutuspittsm1283
@apiesbrutuspittsm1283 5 жыл бұрын
Thanks, but I have never flown a Jungmeister. I think it would have equal performance if it had been full size (this is 4/5) Less wing load and less induced drag. Got the drawings in 73 and first flight in 89. It had to be wood and small so I could build it home, no kits available at that time. It flies nice, but needs some modifications on the landing gear (wrong geometry), seat lowered and tilted back. For longer range there is a option for extra fuel in upper center wing. Max gross weight is 1000 lbs and easily busted, so now my body fits better in my Pitts Model 12 HP.
@happyloop
@happyloop 4 жыл бұрын
Hello, I fly a 200hp Jungmeister, but never flew a Jungster. The Jungster looks faster (also a size effect) and the roll rate seems faster as well. Best roll rate of my Jungmeister is 2.7s/360°. I can only fly a 180° vertically before hammerhead or flying on top marginaly. According to the price and cost, the Jungster is a really capable aerobatic biplane.
