Hi Sir, with due respect. The University should have a better mitigating mechanism. The temporal and psychiatrical disruption is devastating when you are in the midst of the exam and have no way to fix the “crash” without option to continue typing or save the work . This prolongs the academic duration for no reason.

The SRA have offered the following comment on this video: There has been no change to how we calculate the pass mark. There is still no fixed pass mark for SQE1, therefore. We still set the pass mark assessment by assessment. What has changed is the way that the marks are presented to candidates. We are now using a system of scaled scoring where candidate scores are represented on a scale of 1-500 where 300 will always represent the passing score (regardless of where we have set the pass mark). The percentage of correct marks needed to achieve the passing score will still change for each assessment depending on the relative difficulty of the assessment.
