Serious believers (not Christians) also went to the synagogues to learn the Torah every Sabbath (Acts 15:20-21). Paul demonstrated that he kept the Torah: (Act 21:24) "Them take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shave their heads: and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee, are nothing; but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, *and keepest the law.* " THOSE were the persons who turned things upside down.

00:04:57 "...the scientific community changes things...they call it updating..." Nope. Science is a dynamic process that ideally yields steadily more accurate results over time as errors and inaccuracies are winnowed out via the scientific method. This process never stops, because science does not have the absurd and insupportable burden of so-called infallibility which dogmatic literalists place on their claims. Science is a humbling endeavor, and scientists know that they have much to learn, and are in general willing to concede that fact. Compare to the limitless arrogance of the dogmatic creationist, who insists that not only is his and ONLY his bizarre interpretation of scripture correct, but that all other interpretations are incorrect and wicked. 00:05:17 "...the information constantly changes..." Nope. The information constantly *improves*, due to better, more accurate tests. The speaker does not understand how science works. 00:05:21 "...I hold a book right here that has never had to be changed and never needed to be revised..." Nope. The bible has been edited, condensed, translated, re-translated, enhanced and altered many times since the first accounts were written down about seventy years after Jesus' death. Even if you only consider the fate of the books of Tobit, Judith and Esdras (there are others), it is clear that the bible has been changed many times in many ways. 00:06:21 "...college professors are going to do their dead-level best to make you believe that there never was a God...it's a communist (sic) theory..." Nope. Neither Darwin's theory nor any other scientific theory make any claims about the existence or non-existence of God. They can't, because science does not work that way. Science can ONLY provide information about measurable phenomena in the physical world. You can't put God in a test tube. Hence, science cannot make anybody believe that "there never was a God". Anybody whose faith is somehow challenged by science is doing faith AND science wrong and needs to re-think. It is true that the bizarre fringe belief known as "biblical literalism" and its equally strange offspring "creationism" are directly opposed to science--ALL science. But science offers no challenge to the actual core message of the Bible, that of salvation by faith. 00:06:23 "...it's a Communist (sic) theory..." Nope. Darwin was not a Communist 00:12:33 "...evolution teaches that everything is getting better..." Nope. Darwin's theory says nothing about this, and only addresses the fitness of a given species in a given environment. The speaker does not understand Darwin's theory. 00:12:55 "...[the flood] changed the environment, it changed the atmosphere..." Nope. No evidence exists to support this statement. 00:13:58 "...you can find all the fossils and things...perfectly preserved..." Nope. An undisturbed fossil find is extremely rare. Virtually all fossils have suffered at least some degradation and virtually all have been broken up and scattered by the motions of the earth. 00:14:12 "...the...problem with something taking millions of years to fossilize...other creatures will eat it... Nope. Only organisms that are buried, usually in landslides, mudslides, swamps or floods, have a chance of being fossilized. Obviously, an organism that dies at ground level will be broken down and removed by scavengers, bacteria etc. The speaker doesn't know the first thing about fossilization, nor about geology, apparently. 00:14:34 "...woolly mammoths...found with the grass still in their mouth..." Nope. Creationists love to toss this claim around, but there is no support for it in the scientific literature. Well, I can tell that the rest of this thing will just be the usual creationist stew of misrepresented, misunderstood science confused with religious dogma. Same old tired mess. I don't need to waste any more of my time with is. Art Maven OUT.
