Nice! I am mostly very excited for the RG spawn cards from MH3 for my own peasant token cube. RG tried a bit of token storm and this gives it a more competitive strategy that still supports both the token and the big mana / storm cards that survived the cuts.

As much as Writhing Chrysalis has been a problem in the MH3 Limited environment, we actually love how it fits into Peasant Cubes.

Nice and thorough analysis. I have a peasant token cube which is quite fun to keep up and make as best as possible. This helps too. Question: Forsaken miner not attractive in GB? What about insiduous roots? Thought you added it.

Yoooo. Like your takes "tank". Im actually LOVING this set and do feel like it IS the khans for the new generation. The surveil lands in place of the fetches, the blending of the house colors making brewing decks more viable. It makes it feel like khans. You could stick to 3, you can do a solid 2 color deck and even the 5 color jank.

Yeah, I think that makes sense. It's similar to Khans in terms of the actual structure of the set and decks, I just don't think you can approach it as a "morph" format. There's alotta parallels though. Delve/Collect Evidence as a graveyard mechanic, Suspect/Raid as an aggro mechanic. Hell, there's even a Lammasu in both sets.

Voltaic Brawler seems like an incredible 2 drop, was Red Green just not a good archetype? From what I remember, Green was a pretty solid color in that set up. AlsoI'd say go ahead and report player names like that, it's not gonna hurt your account or anything

I don't remember how well the exact color pairs performed but I'm confident Brawler and RG are very good, I just didn't realize RG was open in my lane until too late. Definitely reported, btw.

Having played with the set, I personally didn't have a problem with descended/descending, but some people at the store definitely didn't catch it at first. Honestly, the bigger issue was permanent *card* triggering it, meaning token permanents don't work with it

My collection goals have shifted and I am building as many set cubes (partial or complete) as I can. I’ve started with commons and uncommons bought in bulk lots, and same with bulk rares. And later if I want I can start buying the singles for any gaps. Best thing is it’s cheap, and I have so much variety to play sealed deck or draft with 😊 FOREVER!

Dormant Grove is a house from this set. Enchantment hard to interact with, +1/+1 themed, grants vigilance to green stompy, is a 4drop for ramp play. Super good.

Really surprised Marneus Calgar (the non-face commander from the Esper 40k deck) didn't make the "best commander" cards or get an honorable mention. The card has always felt 100% nonsense when I've played against or with it.
