I geek out over special shades too, especially when I'm overworked & overtired...I get lost in the hypnotic shifts & sparkles. 😂 I don't have Flower Moon yet,but I will soon. I have Strawberry Moon original & love it sooo much, that I think I also need the updated version. I will absolutely eventually pan most of the one I have. People seem to love the smoothness of Clionadh. For me I find that I love sparkle and Devinah's formula is the perfect mixture between sparkly and smooth 😍.

@@melissa_hilliard_ifekristii I just looked it up and it does look cute! I miss the way cartoons were drawn back then. Now most cartoons have that same look like they are trying to mimic Pixar but it either comes off as ugly or is so overdone. I think of the new reboot Rugrats character style. I also hate how a lot of plush toys and kid’s clothing now has animal characters with huge oversized eyes (like the current beanie babies). But I guess they have to be on trend and create things that sell. 😂 I think a lot of people in our age group have a weird sense of humor because of the weird cartoons we used to watch back then. I was not permitted to watch Ren and Stimpy because it was very crude. To this day, I am too scared to watch it on paramount plus and won’t let my future kids or grandkids see it. 😂

I used to watch Captain Planet and Inspector Gadget, but that is pretty well known. I think you know about Darkwing Duck. I’m not that old. I watched the reruns on TV in the 90s too. 😂😂😂

Oh yeah. I watched reruns of Heathcliff and watched Bobby's World on Fox Kids every Saturday morning. Jonny Quest from the 60s was wild, then the reboot in the 80s, then the 90's it was adorable, but it was just out there. 😆 Loved Captain Planet and Darkwing Duck. OMG, Louie Andersons animated show! That brought back a memory 😂

I have the melt nightmare palettes. I only tried Halloweentown so far. It’s okay formula wise but nothing to write home about. The Gemini palette formula is a lot better! The nightmare palette doesn’t swatch well but it applies well on the eyes. Nothing amazing but also not horrible in my opinion. I’ve been dealing with a lot of worries and mental health stuff so I haven’t been doing much makeup this Fall unless it’s to go out. 😅 CP has a GOOD formula but then they also have HORRIBLE formulas that remind me of Makeup Revolutional! 😂 Their candyland palette is probably the worst palette I have ever used in my life. It was literal chalk with glitter flecks. I was surprised when someone I follow says she likes it. But I truly know she’s being honest because she’s not on PR, doesn’t have a code, the video was not sponsored and she did it like 2 years after the palette was discontinued. I think CP releases bad formulas to save money. A cheaper formula means higher profits. I don’t mind soft shimmers or satins but not dry and crumbly shimmers.

Melt is waaaayyy to hit or miss for me. Especially for the price. I didn't pick up the Nightmare Before Christmas Collaborations - it seems they have an OK or subpar or excellent matte formulation, but the shimmers/metallics are lacking. ColourPlop has the good/OK or daaang - this is a great formula, and it's never consistent. Some palettes from them have had me casket ready. Super ashy! Yikes! I remember that disaster Candyland palette 🫣🫣🫣 I don't disagree with your comments on their formula. I just think they have their own factory/laboratory to not have a consistently awesome formulation - makeup revolution girl that gave me a bit of cosmetic PTSD. LMAOOOO 😂 😭 Ooooh. I'm sorry to hear about your health. I hope everything is getting better. 🤞🏾🫶🏾

But I think they try to be stingy and do cheaper formulas sometimes or they just don’t know how to formulate certain shades well. I don’t like their pastels. They are chalk city! I love my Clionadh shadows but I completely understand 😂. I remember feeling underwhelmed when I received my first few shadows. They're so hyped I guess i was just expecting more. To be fair, I tried Clionadh kinda late so I was kinda spoiled with tons of special shades from other brands.

I feel put together when I use the Dominique Cosmetics Transitions palette. It’s such a basic palette but the undertones of those neutrals are really nice and they blend so well. I have the hashtag palette which I got in a Boxycharm. I didn’t buy it when it came out even though it was hyped because it was kind of expensive and someone I used to subscribe to said the formula wasn’t that good. I think it’s a good, standard formula and decent shimmers.

We have all those same TF palettes! I was dusting and cleaning my palettes today. I stumbled across the Natural Lust and thought about decluttering it but decided I wanted to keep it around for a little longer. I have pan in that chunky shimmer gold in the pineapple palette. I have that butterfly palette from too faced that smells like fake flowers. I haven’t even used it. My Mariale too faced palette went bad after 2 years so I suggest you smell yours if you bought it. I have it set aside to throw away when I do my palette declutter again at the end of the year. bought all those too faced palettes for 50%!

I still have the Peanut Butter and Jelly one from years ago. 👀I got rid of the Buidoir Eyes palette awhile ago because it wasn’t pigmented or cool tone enough for what I was expecting. I think it was the glitter from the Mariale palette that definitely went bad. Pressed glitters go bad faster because of all the oil they have, but it made the whole palette stink. 😟If something smells bad I’m not going to want it to eat it or put it on my face out of precaution, so it’s best that I toss it. 😆

Why, thank you! I agree - definitely have tons of respect for her artistry. But her makeup/beauty line is stagnant (pinks/neutrals sell - Charlotte Tillbury/NARS/Huda Beauty, etc. . .) I had the collectors' mentality for a while. LoL. I haven't purchased Mothership XI. 😅

You nailed it on head about Pat's upbringing, its why Pat McGrath is the only high-end brand i buy! After being so disappointed by Mothership XI, I bought the remaining 5 palettes I didn't own already. Like yourself I hardly ever used her palettes, but I plan on using them more! P.S. Pat usually has $12-$14 lipstick and lip glosses during Christmas, I bought so many in 2020, that I'm still reaching for one of them to use each day.

I seriously love Pat's artistry and her background. It's amazing. But I think investors or others on the team see how well neutral pinks sell, and her last really adventurous palette was probably Midnight Sun after her 1st three launched. 😅🫣 I need to show mine more love. That's a great question - the most beginner friendly would be (in my opinion) either Adept's Plain Jane or Unearthly's All I Wanted Vol. 2. With Pink Crush coming in 3rd place. I hope it helps. 🫶🏾

OMG I used to watch Darkwing Duck when I was a baby! Also, used to watch gargoyles. My neighbor gave me a Darkwing Duck magnifying glass as a toddler and it’s crazy how I STILL have it. Also my kindergarten teacher gave me a Gargoyles Burger King toy, but I don’t have it anymore. 😂 I like the vibrant colors in Darkwing duck. I think gargoyles would be a grungey color palette.

I love Darwing Duck - (cries in missing my childhood) 🤣😭😂😅😫😩 Gargoyles freaked me out when I was little but 17 year old me? LOVED IT. Yes, Darkwing Duck would have a bright but subtle color story. Gargoyles cool-tones grungy dinghy vibes from the dark NYC landscape. It's wild the stuff we still keep from childhood, isn't it? LoL. 😆

I’m going to have to watch this in segments so expect multiple comments at different times. I’m not wearing much makeup on the daily right now either. It’s a combination of the heat and tiredness from work! I usually do a cream blush and sheer lip gloss these days. I like the blend bunny color stories. But I wasn’t blown away from the surge palette. Some of the dark shades in that deep row didn’t want to build on the lighter shades.I couldn’t get the depth I wanted, but I’m still glad to own it because I like the colors. I love the Lorac formula too! I have the fairytale and noir palettes and they are so blendable. I still have that beauty and the beast palette from like 2016.😂

Awww, thank you for watching. I found Surge a smidge different to work with, but Blends and the others have been fantastic for me, at least. LoL. I'm a lover of Lorac. I have quite a few of their palettes, and they don't fail me EVER. Oh, that Beauty and the Beast palette was so cute. Makeup mementos/memories. 🥰

I’m having a change in my makeup tastes lately so that’s another reason why I’m not buying as much colorful makeup anymore. I did do a lot of damage at the Sydney Grace Christmas in July sale. 😂 I got Mel’s bundle, a mystery bags with some cream products, eye brush set, 2 loose pigments, loose highlighter, purple taupe single shadow and a free $100 gift with purchase. 😆

@celestecelestial90 I got that sugar and grunge palette. It's cute! I'm still colorful, but it's really lip stains and lip oils. Nursing school clinicals don't make me want to put on a full face of anything other than skincare and maybe a tint with powder and a bold lip. 😅 I love Sydney Grace Christmas in July sale. Sounds like you got tons of fabulous products! I didn't purchase anything this time because I already have quite a few items from them that I haven't even used yet. 🤣🫣 I am on a slow buy no makeup purchases until November. Just to let me use and play with what I have. Plus, there is so much schooling and a full-time job.

@@melissa_hilliard_ifekristii If I was a full time nursing student and worker full time like you, I wouldn’t have the energy or time to put on any makeup. 😅 I hope you like the formula of the sugar and grunge palette. Smart move to skip the sale, and focus on what you already have from them for now. I’ve been on a low buy all year. I really haven’t bought much, especially in comparison to previous years so I’m happy with my progress. Good luck on your no buy! The end of November has holiday and Black Friday sales so you’ll still be able to take advantage of that if you want.

@celestecelestial90 Sometimes I barely have time or energy for anything 😪😅 it's how it goes. I find little pockets of time to do it. Definitely, trying to save money and also use and love on the products I already own. I am going to wear the sugar and grunge palette this week. I'll let you know how it turns out. 🤓 Thank you!
