@@potamitismeccanica Hi sorry hoping you can give me the measurements for the orings? When you say 2x1.5 and 3x7 what do numbers correspond to? Seems here in the US they like to make things complicated. so Inner diameter / outter diameter / rubber thickness. thanks again!

@potamitismeccanica
@potamitismeccanica 5 ай бұрын
Hello. Yes, you must hold the brown unit and then unscrew the top cap. You can do it in two ways: 1) Hold it with a vice block, or 2) Slide something underneath, avoiding the holes in the lower part vertically. In both scenarios, you must lift the blender to reveal the brown part."

Very nice. But poly seal on outside of seal head has always been dumb, should be buna 70 or 80, but you have to wrap threads with tape to protect for install as they are razor sharp. Also would be a good idea to change from old base valves to new bx001 And lastly, to set minumum ifp height allowed by the +_ and raise ifp pressure 15-20psi. All of these steps ward off air chamber pressure leaking into damper.

I don't have this information. You can check the rockshox app on the section upgrades. If the code of the upgraded dumper kit (that the app suggests) is the same with the code of a lyric dumper, then you can use it for your fork.

what's the part number of the new 2024 seal kit ? I've purchased the 803-01-921 Seal Kit: 2023 FLOAT X2 Spring and Damper Rebuild. But I guess there's something new for 2024 to address the issue with the air build up in the damper oil which is also happening with ma 2022 X2. Thanks for the part number ;-)
@potamitismeccanica
@potamitismeccanica 7 ай бұрын
@racetrack491 Unfortunately, this kit can only be used on the 2024 X2 (or on older models if the bearing is replaced, as shown in the video). The difference lies in the O-ring on the shaft. The new bearing has 2 O-rings, compared to the older version, which has just 1. So, if you purchase the new bearing, you can upgrade to the 2024 X2 specifications.

@@potamitismeccanica all clear, having a 2022 model and therefore wondering about the inner slider piece you’re replacing in your X2. Out with the black, in with the silver thingy (already including the O rings) -> the number of that package with the silver part would be really interesting 😇

The new bearing does not promise to enhance the feel of the suspension; therefore, you might not notice any immediate changes. It is designed to address the issue of air build-up in the damper oil. We will evaluate its effectiveness in a few months.

Just a question since the rear brake caliper was hidden inside chainstay does that means it will give a headache later when bleeding brakes because some manufacturer of brakes use the left side of the caliper to bleed and some use the right side
@potamitismeccanica
@potamitismeccanica Жыл бұрын
I don't think that this could be a problem since usually you can access bleed ports from the front or rear side of the caliper. But if it's not easily accessible you can remove the brake caliper, it has only two bolts. Nevertheless there is another problem: You can't mount brakes that have big calipers, for example hope, magura etc.
