Original kool/gang fan. They had to change in the 80's. Biggest selling band in that era 80's. Their biggest success even from the R&B crowd

Merci vous cous! 💕 🥰 ❤Kool & the Gang one of my all time top 10 groups, despite am a white lady. I didn'tt care what my frie ds said about my funk taste in.musuc in 70's .Disco came along mud 70s and times have slowly changed..These guys are great .back then and still now! I used to see them in concert a lot all over NYS. Thanks for sharing this, love it, love them!! Now retired to Southwest FL but wish they would come here in concert. 💕Humanitarians not just singers...Singers, dancers, singers, play instruments, looking at outfits back then, just live them!! very important..Never got backstage passes for them YET. 💕 2024..Please come to Southwest FL. We have several venues large enough .By the way, am antique dealer, also sell records, cassettes, 8 tracks, CDs in Fort Myers..Also into Music BIGTIME . 💕 Kool & the Gang!!

Yes, they were serious musicians, they were originally a jazz band, Charles Cletus Smith was great on guitar. 1st time I met them. I helped them unload the equipment off the back of a pick up truck Central high school Newark, I didn’t know who they were until they started playing the title song cool in the gang. That was their first hit listen to chocolate buttermilk. You’ll see what I mean. I miss DT. He used to treat me like I was his little brother they will all be missed.

Bless your heart Mrs. Penwah Penwah and I'd like to say that I am a musician who plays Alto Saxophone and Flute, Congas because of Mr. Dennis "D.T." Thomas, I absolutely loved how they played together as a band and everyone contributes and made Kool & the Gang the iconic band they are. I will love the music always 🎶

I first heard as a jazz ensamble in early 65? I grew up listening to jazz. Then you hear Kool and the Gang. It's like hearing Miles Davis for the first time. Or other artists that you understand are taking you on a musical journey. They're in the panteón of popular music. In my opinion.

Your mission was 1000% accomplished! You are all my youth, unforgettable moments in the discotheques.you are simply exceptional.you have marked the 80's like no one else.when I think of the past, nostalgia sets in thinking of the magnificent moments spent on your tracks! I have been to almost all your concerts in Switzerland for the last 25 years! I even have a George Brown stick that I see every day because it is in front of my computer! I wish you all the best of luck, even though as I write this, many of you are "up there" watching us. Thank you for having and still existing! I love you all!
