The morphs in DAZ are mapped to the bones, so they actually bend the bones, the morph you get in Cinema4D is a mesh morph, it does not morph in an arc as the bone is, it morphs in a straight line, that is why you get the weird fingers, you need to use the bones to animate the fingers, you cannot use the mesh morphs from the import.

@@rustandmagic thank you that makes a lot of sense, seems like it’s better to only import facial rigging and rig the body in cinema
@rustandmagic9 күн бұрын
@@DarkRavenProductions I have not used the DAZ to C4D exporter for some time but you should be able to get the rig working fine, it might be easier to drop the wings and get the character into C4D by itself and export the wings as an FBX and attach them after you import it into C4D.

Neat work, just like you always do! Thanks for spoiling us. For me, the mechanoids were never quite as good as they could have been. Whilst the actual functionality of the infamous Dalek plunger arm has been made far more evident in 21st century Who, quite how they’d make those feeble little arms on the mechanoids look more menacing ~ or even just useful ~ is a bit of a stretch. I wonder what could have been made of the original mechanoids design? Yes, it may have looked quite a bit like a traditional ship’s capstan or windlass but hey, the Dalek shape did draw inspiration from a damn pepper pot after all, so anything’s possible, especially now we have such excellent cgi/animation tools at our disposal.

Nice list. Being a tad selfish, I’m just so pleased you enjoyed the show to the point it inspired you to make the excellent work you produce for our enjoyment today. As for me, being as I’m in my 60’s, I saw every single Doctor that’s graced our screens from Hartnell onwards. I can still just about remember watching the show in the mid 1960’s on my paternal grandparents small black and white tv ~ and yes, probably from behind their sofa too. The Zarbi in ‘The Web Planet’ especially freaked out my five-year old mind for some reason. My favourite Classic Doctor(s)? That’ll be Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker. Modern Who? Despite the excellence of Ecclestone and Tennant, that’s easier. Matt Smith. Like many of us, I thought that it would take someone seriously good to fill Tennant’s shoes, But Smith had me from, A/ Walking straight into a tree And B/ ‘You’re Scottish. Fry something.’ Once he’d stabilised and got into the role, he really gave the impression of an old mind in a young body, bursting with child-like wonder such as in Star Beast, at one moment enthusiastically saying to the ever-lovely Ami (even covered in star beast gloop), ‘Right then. This isn’t going to be big on dignity!’ To then delivering with barely contained rage, ‘Nobody human has a SINGLE word for me today!’ The fact he was coupled with Moffat as the show runner was fortuitous as he had some really great stories. Capaldi started out a bit meh for me, but he improved vastly as his time went on. His virtual monologue episode, ‘Heaven Sent’ was magnificently delivered. Unfortunately, then we got Chibnall and Whittaker. Oh dear. I missed the vast majority of their run. Too many companions, weak stories and someone who just plain wasn’t convincing as The Doctor. They really should’ve given Jo Martin’s Fugitive Doctor the role as she absolutely nailed it. I did watch the return of Tennant but watching him, a being technically over 4 billion years old, being lectured on bloody pronouns ~ by someone with a more wooden delivery than the wooden cyberman ~ and how he could never know a woman’s viewpoint despite just having been a woman, gave me a craving to stick pins in my eyes. And now Gatwa. Much crying, running away scared and chasing after men. Had we ever before seen The Doctor initiating full pursuit of a romantic liaison? Err…nope. It’s not as if the gay bit’s the issue. We’d already had Captain Jack Harkness and he’d happily mate with anything and everything anywhere at any time. No, it’s more fundamental than that. I’m obviously not alone in having followed his ‘go touch grass’ instruction given that he has the dubious achievement of scoring the lowest viewing figures in the shows 60 year history. Twice. Within weeks. Still, we can but hope that post Gatwa things will improve. After all, there’s only one way the viewing figures CAN go! Keep up the great work that you do. It’s always eagerly anticipated.

I'm old enough to have started with early Tom Baker, although Jon Pertwee was on when I was born; the 1st Doctor I saw all original episodes first aired was Sylvester McCoy - so he and Ace are my favourites. I disagree on the two animations, Evil/Power of the Daleks are actually quite good, at least we can see the whole show, instead of the surviving clips. I still prefer Old over New Who, but I will watch all episodes happily, especially if the Daleks are in - I would describe myself a a Dalek fan, not a Whovian.!!
