@@azureskys this was the replacement battery. Went back and forth with them for over 3 months. They kept saying I was doing something wrong which is why I did the video and sent to them. No. Their support is horrible. I created this video for them as requested to get a battery replaced under warranty that died. Over 3 months going back and forth with them and no resolution. I have 4 of these 300ah batteries and 2 will not connect via BT. Also I cannot enable balance in one of the 2 batteries that I can connect to. The cells might all be from same battery manufacturer between brands (chin and battleborn) but the BMS chins uses is garbage. Thousands spent on chins and wish I never bought them. Lesson learned.

@ND-tu7ww I have a 22 ram (etorque). Is it really worth building (supercharger, cam, etc)? Truck is stock and still under warranty but just curious. I can't afford a TRX so I figured building what I have might be cheaper 🤷‍♂️
@ND-tu7ww
@ND-tu7ww 9 ай бұрын
@@chriscooper8210 Not worth it IMO. I dropped near 36k between both motors and still never finished the last piece (fuel system). Although the motor was capable over 1000hp the driveline would grenade. Wasn't dependable as a daily. I eventually sold truck and now have a 23 Durango Hellcat which I love. The process was a PITA and you will eventually spend more money not to mention the time/headache for a sub-par machine. Get a TRX that already has the bones (stronger driveline, fuel system, forged block, etc) and then build from there. With a simple tune, pully and injectors on a hellcat you can push some crazy numbers.

Few people have been asking so I'll give an update. Sold/traded the truck. I usually do my own builds but getting older and more difficult crawling around engine bays I thought I'd hire a speed shop to do the work. Mind you this is all they do and have (or had) a good reputation. Over $34k invested in them/this truck not including price of truck. I'll NEVER do this again, and will do the work myself. First engine blew up (dropped valve). They claim it was batch of faulty CompCam valve retaining rings but I am unable to find anyone else having this issue so how big was this batch? They said 13 of the cars they did got caught up with this issue but only mine blew up. How does the last engine built blow up first or only???? I suspect they used the stock valves and retaining rings with the upgraded aggressive cam (more lift) which puts a huge amount of stress on these. Paid for upgrade valve springs, locks and retaining rings with new cam but suspect they left OEM heads stock. Second motor i upgraded to a 6.4L block yielding the 426 but had a sticky lifter so motor had to be pulled again and rebuilt. Also had low oil pressure because the 6.4 block has piston oil squirters that required a high volume oil pump which they didn't put in, but did on next rebuild. 3rd motor worked for a few thousands miles but had so many issues I decided to sell. They couldn't fix an oil leak from catch can return so my driveway (which is pavers) still looks like shit months later which pissed off the wife to no end. Think it required to pull the supercharger to unscrew the 90 degree fitting and install sealer they forget, but didn't want to put the time in to fix it right so it just kept leaking after they said it was fixed. They spent months trying to get the tune right and couldn't. Each new rebuild they suggested I buy a milder cam to make tuning easier which I did, but isn't that what they do ... tune cars after upgrades??? Tune is even in their company name. LOL I had a target HP range and they spec'd the cam...not me. Guess they need more experience on picking a camshaft. Between tuning and physical build they had my truck for almost a full 12 months (1 1/2 years in calendar time). Constant surging when coming to a stop, erratic idle, burning oil smell from incorrectly installed catch can which I found and had to explain to them how to correctly install, difficult starting when warm at times, non-linear power when switching from closed to open loop WOT, etc. Being a gear head I took an HPTuners course and spent 2 weeks working out the issues myself. Yes - I'm a noob when it comes to tuning and was able to fix the drivability issues they couldn't just by logging and putting the time in. Not sure if it was lazy or didn't have the ability but this pissed me off. In addition I caught them in a number of lies. They scratched my hood and claimed it wasn't them but the dents/scratches match the garage door that they needed to keep half open when doing dyno pulls with such a long truck, etc. Truck was new with no scratches. Just own up to it and don't lie. Paid for a $2500 carbon fiber driveshaft which came in too short (their guy measured wrong). Waited 8+ months for replacement that never came, and never got it. Never saw credit for driveshaft probably because they never got credit from mfg as it was their mistake (custom order). The lies with the part is here and then it wasn't even shipped, its on back order.....it was constant. Weeks turned into months and eventually years. LOL List goes on. Cherry on all this was while driving to the dealer to trade this truck in (yes, I actually found a dealer that took it in on trade but lost my shirt and pants on investment) the motor started to make the same random tick sound from a sticky lifter at idle. It was fun but I'm over it. Lessons learned - do the work yourself or save your money and buy something already built with the bugs worked out and/or visit a better speed shop. Although they were friendly and did stand behind the first engine blow up I felt ass raped lied to every time I visited them. Guess they took kindness as weakness. Fuck them. I've had enough and couldn't stand looking at this truck anymore thus I sold/traded it. I've got new projects in mind ... just won't be using these pineapples nor recommending them to anyone ever again!!!

@@Relentless_Bill Exactly the plan. Waiting for these prices to drop and if they make a special higher hp variant or a street version. Needs to be supercharged with wide band already installed so you can leave neural net active. makes tuning for upgrades so much easier and better street manners/driveability.

That would be sick if they did an srt -10 style ram. I’m trying to get my ram to atleast 470-500 hp to the wheels reliably while being my daily. Do you think that’s realistic or not worth the time effort and 💵?
@ND-tu7ww
@ND-tu7ww 3 жыл бұрын
@@Relentless_Bill That's about 600 at the crank which is possible with forced induction but like I said its a difficult road to make it a daily driver (i.e. reliable). Anyone can bolt on parts. Its the tuning that is the hard part. Change one single variable/part and the tune that is offered with a blower manufacturer (whipple, etc) is not applicable. Honestly - save up for a TRX if you want a pickup and 600+ HP. If you keep the options at a minimum you will be way ahead of the game, with a warranty and a very fun truck. My previous car was a 2018 Trackhawk (before this Ram) and THAT thing was a blast as a daily...but I need a truck to do truck things thus the 1500 project. Good luck!

No its not the crate motor. However, its built to produce over 1000hp if you are willing to turn up boost, fuel and timing but drivetrain would explode. Current tune is around 600hp to wheels which is plenty fun as a daily driver.
