As a Northeastern ,other than keralites the goans are the only one I find more comfortable with. They are cool they know how to party without creating a scene and most important have a sense of compassion and respect for other.

Well articulated on d reasons of wide spread fear turned anger in d indigenous Goan by a non-goan having sensed d under & over current which cd soon turn into an explosive like in d J&K, NE, Jharkand etc where d locals observing d Politician nexus with all, cd take d law in their hands having lost d trust. But, there is far far more to it : The Portuguese had left behind a beautiful legacy of Communidade Land concept in every village for d villager to grow & b self-sustainable keeping d future in mind. When a villager's family grows & needs a large house or place, d village on an application, does allot it from d Communidade land. But, now, those coming from lands around hv gone into changing names & surnames to Goan ones, living or dead, to grab local jobs, thro fake IDs viz Aadhar, PAN, Ration, Electricity & Water etc & thro greasing change land records, and even encroach into Communidade land enmasse & after a thorough recce of unused fields, houses, property etc where overnight debris is thrown into fields followed by illegal construction & destruction is seen all around with robberies & murders too. Observe d Classified Ads in d Newspapers & Gazzette & one wd be shocked to see each day numerous non-goan taking goan names to change records to show they were indigenous Goan since inception. It is indeed a 3 pronged attack on d very goan viz hindu, muslim, christian, who wd get extinct in a few years : With direct trains brought in by earlier Rly Mininister, George Fernandes & later by Lalu Prasad Yadav, both non goans, d influx of criminals in d form of mass labour influx with a sordid sight of drinking, defecating, urinating, spitting pan/masala/gutka etc hv grown sky high. Moreover, d middle strata, from places around come in for govt & pvt jobs etc who then get into property investments for themselves & kin etc, & thirdly, those from d North viz Delhi, Punjab, Haryana etc with huge ill gotten wealth, got from lands sold in polluted Noida etc hv started investing in large land thro hotels, spas, massage parlours etc bringing a great rise in drugs, prostitution etc who hv come from another neighbouring state where it is out rightly banned. In fact, they hv started vacating residents/owners thro money & muscle power resulting in kidnapping & murders etc. One can rarely find one speaking in d native language, Konkani, even in public or private office or anywhere. Hotels hv barricaded once public beaches mkg it impossible for a walk from one end to d other, which was done in our early days. With this dangerous nuisance going on at an extremely large scale, disturbing d very demography, culture, & d peaceful life of a Goan, where crime which was absolute NIl at a time, has gone over d head, testing d law of patience, elasticity & tolerance.

What i feel the root cause is the pj burgeoning of population in the whole country, which makes finding work difficult in one's home state and forces us to go out and seek work elsewhere at lower than standard wages and as a result due to large scale human movement the individual cultural characteristics of any region is getting effaced and getting replaced by this capitalism driven treadmill of work hard and party harder. Any region, be it himachal, be it goa, be it west bengal, ( yes, the use of bengali language is diminishing in bengal so that aggressive linguistic groups have sprung up to claiming to protect the language . Do you believe that!) In capitalism everything is fair game. All over india big box stores are killing local businesses, forcing people to work till they drop. And this huge population definitely gives them more fodder. Tye govt should announce some policies for birth control etc otherwise the diversity part of unity in diversity will go, and only minions will remain who are carbon copies of each other, and live only to please their corporate masters in a dystopisn world

Goa is just like ordinary Indian Village but with big bunglows and clean and quite surroundings life is hard in Goa if your bank balance is above 6 to 7 cr then only buy home in Goa

Brother, you are true about lack of adequate facilities and services in non-touristy small places. But I disagree about corruption. I purchased a 3730 square feet residential plot in Tiswadi, Taleigao, Panaji. I did not face any problem during registration of the same and during the mutation work. I’m from Bengaluru.
