And because her music in the 2010s was different from other pop music at the time, with the use of classical instruments, ‘cinematic’ sound, darker, melancholic, like old Hollywood style with pop… It was a new sound/aesthetic 🤯 sorry for saying too much haha but lana* didn’t get the recognition she deserved at the time. I’m glad you found their music 😌

i really loved your interpretation! you also gave me an idea - in the beginning of the second verse (the one with “you’re so full of shit”) you can see how Billie`s glasses get shattered, but she doesn’t seem to mind it at all! in fact, she smiles and tosses them away! knowing Billies attention to details, it’s likely not a coincidence, but a metaphor for her seeing her partner for who they are and still being head over heels in love :))

I love how you BOTH began this song by taking a deep breath .. ! 🌬 😅 I love this song so much. I lived in Long Beach, and worked at the Westin on Ocean Blvd back in 2015 through 2017. Never realized there was a tunnel under my feet, but I moved back to Pennsylvania in late 2017 and then learned of the tunnel when I saw the title of this album. I thought "wow, what a small world" 🌎 😊 Beautiful

I love your interpretation! I think you are probably closer to what Billie was trying to express than anyone else I’ve seen react. Most say it’s just about an abusive relationship, but in the behind the scenes video, Billie talked about it as illustrating an internal experience. I’ve always thought I was missing the thru-line and I think you may have nailed it.

Yes.. i go with you... because I cant get around the fact, that there is love in this song too... and to me, the last scenes her rumbling/fighting in the field is so often symbolic for relationships, because in fighting eachother is the deep desire to meet also... because if there wouldnt be any love energy left, the relationship fades away by itself.. so fighting still indicates connecte energy.... Thx for your thoughts. I definetly go on with Eilish's songs
